thanks for the advice. he does already slepp with us. this thing i am worried

about is when he wakes up he darts off the bed which is high off the ground,

thats scares me also that he is still not fully awake and will break his neck. i

know i am probly overreacting but it just worries me cuz the crazy people in

the nut house do the same thing by banging their heads against the door and

wall for no reason at all.

on. he has sleep in there once or twice but freaked out even more when he

woke up. going to start this weekend getting him to sleep in there even if i

have to sleep with him a few nights.

Targetguy I am understanding that you have taken him to the Dr. for this issue, if so I might consider taking him to another for a second opinion. Children don't normally bang their head on the wall for no good reason. Unless they are autistic or are very angry. You would be the only one to really know if he is just acting out or if something is wrong. I feel if he was just acting out you prob wouldn't be asking for advice. If you are concerned I would make an appointment with a Dr. You have that right. You are his dad.

well we had him seen for autistic by several different doctors. After his ITP

we were concern because he was afraid of everyone except for me and

maggie. if someone was to come over he would freak out. after about 30 min

he would warm up to them. if they left to go out to the car and came back

in he would freak out. he quit talking and saying the words he said before his

hosiptal stay. one doctor told us to give him time due to his hospital stay.

anyways all the doctor agree that he is behind a few months with his words

but dont show no signs of anything is. the thing is when he is home is

different scompletely from the way he acts at the doctors office. when we

go there he is a little angel. i am just confused and frustrated at the same

time. i know its not his fault but i fell like the doctors missed something or i

am just losing my mind. we do have a follow appointment with on of them

next months so i guess we will have to see how that goes.

In my honest opinion I would say don't ignore him. A child banging his/her head on the floor or wall is something autistic children commonly do or something a very angry child would do. Either way I would just monitor him and perhaps think about another doctor. It is always better to be safe than to be sorry.

I seen in a tv show on a young girl who was having epelyptic siezures but

only at night after she had been asleep. I would definitely reccomend taking

your son to see a specialist. the young was diagnosed by a nuerologist after

tons of failed trips to regular doctors and hospitals. If she hadnt have went

to the neurologist she could have died during any one of her nightly episodes,

so please make sure it isnt a medical problem. A young child not accepting

love from his parents or comfort, could be a sign that he or she doesnt know

what going on , a sign of autism and epilyptics. It may just be a phase as

    suggested, but make sure.
