Well Boss (a.k.a. NDN, The Man, The Mighty Oz),
For what it's worth, here's my two cents. The Poker Ride concept is cool and some of the other suggestions are good ones. I think the Texas Hold'em format would work well although, with no betting involved, I don't see any reason not to flop all the community cards at once. But stuff like that's above my pay grade and that's why you make the big money.
My main problem with this game is that I work for a living. Therefore, I can't spend the whole day camped out on the computer waiting for you to log back on and play. This gives everyone that can, i.e. Eejit, an unfair advantage. And please don't misunderstand. I'm not complaining or whining or *****ing. It is what it is. I'm just sayin.....
So maybe you could have one or more scheduled times each day to play. Then, at that time, you could come on and ask a question or ask five questions or whatever and everyone would have an equal chance.
One of the earlier posts suggested you pick an arcade game and a target score. Beat the target score and get a card. I think that's a great idea and that's something that anyone's schedule could accomodate.
As it is, I log on then I go to the last page and see if there is an unanswered question. Usually, there's a question with two or three answers waiting for your approval. And one is almost always correct. So the game's over for me. Then I read the last five or so questions, which I've missed (and I see Eejit's posts on every single one), then I go to the arcade.
So, as you can see, this game in it's present form doesn't do much for me but I like the concept and hope that you'll make some changes that make it fair and accessible for us all.
Also, I think you should bring back Backwards Name That Tune. I thought that was a great game. Especially once you went backwards with it and effectively took the Googlers out of it. That was a stoke of genius and that's why you are the Boss. And the fact that you listen to us little people makes you a great leader. NDN for President!!! Wait are you an American? IDK lol

2 - I work for a living? What do u think i do! Im just sensible. In the day i log on once every 2 hours? At night at home if im not doing anything ill refresh the posts every now and then. Im not camped here!

3 - I would quite happily not play this game if it helps. The point of this game is to reward people who come back as often as possible. I like to help this site as much as possible, as Ive been here since the beginning. So, as the aim of the game is to be here as much as possible, I will log on and keep chats going, start threads, and try and post a bit to keep it all going.

4 - Its not about the money. Ill play any of these contests for $0 prizes. As long as there is a virtual hug in there somewhere.

5 - I post on everything as it entertains me.

Eejit, I want to know that, while I have targeted you for verbal abuse before, I honestly wasn't doing it this time. I didn't mean to imply you didn't work for a living. But you say you log in every two hours during the day and I'm not anywhere near a computer for typically ten or twelve hours a day. That's all I was trying to say.
I know you're a post junkie. I don't want you not to play. Quite the opposite. And I agree, it has nothing to do with the money.
Name that tune was great but it was the backwards part that was genius. If that was you, muchos kudos.
We need you, Eejit. Having a common enemy bonds the rest of us into a tight-knit, almost family-like group. And I'm using enemy in the kindest, most loving way possible. So come here, man. Bring it in. This is your virtual hug.

I think the whole point of the contest is to reward the people that are here the most, and to encourage people to be as active as they can be... with the idea above, it still rewards the people who come alot while giving the others a realistic chance at winning a prize... plus if the jackpot got up to like 40-50 bucks, that might intice people to participate more as well... the board being the last 5 cards not drawn is just easier and some less work for ndn. also it would make the game go by that much faster, only drawing 47 cards, u could get the contest done in a 7 day period if u asked 6-7 questions a day

plus not knowing the board til the end keeps participation up cuz it would take longer for people to think they are out, and without a chance to win
