when a retailer declines taking your credit card/debit card for a minimum purchase amount, it is a breach of contract on his part because he/she is not allowed to do so. If you ever have this problem, call the number on the back of your card and report the business, as well as their adress, and they will be fined as well as given a warning by the company they use for credit services. After 2 warning they will no longer be able to use this company and have to search out a different one(and most likely a more expensive one). I'm not too worried about a min 5$ purchase, but 10??? cmon man, i'm not spending more than i have to in your crappy store!

well u know it is illegal for them to do this. and also there are stores that say there is a certain charge if u use a credit card and thats illegal also. u should tell them next time u will report them to the better business bureau because it is illegal.
