The Nobel peace prize isn't an award for not doing anything wrong.

The correct question is WHAT has he done to earn it?

Hell, he hasn't even done anything for this country, 9 months into his presidency.

The healthcare bill (dunno whats gone on with that tho)
    Cash for "conkers" or whatever

He is fixing middle east slowly.

    The UN speech he gave.

I think he is getting it for wanting it to be done.

My question is - is America really that slow to get things done. You cant just decide to do something, it has to go thru a court, then a senate, then congress, then the president, hell, somethings Barack cant even decide on.

    Its all flawed

The health care bill is a mess and should never be passed.

Cash for clunkers is an even bigger mess than health care and is having the complete opposite effect of what was expected.

He hasn't done crap in the middle east.

You don't get peace prizes for speeches.

This is almost as bad as Al Gore getting a Nobel Prize for making a pseudo-mentary.

Eejit is right about the fact that our system of bickering slows down all the decisions that are made.
The question you should be asking yourself Terp, is "What can you do for your country and your neighbor."
Are you going to try and spread a meassage of love and understanding or a message of hate and devisiveness?
That noble peace prize was an award to the American people for having the guts to want change from the fear mongering of our past and the guts to overwhelmingly elect our first black president.
Barrack Obama represents an American ideology that is not afraid to stand up to the greed and evil that is consuming our great country.
Instead of spending the next 7 years hating on Obama, try to except it and focus on your local community and how you can be a value to your community.

    Peace will heal you
    Hate will consume you

You're delusional if you think Obama has ANY chance at a second term as it stands right now. He has accomplished nothing and has delivered and NO promises.

Standing up to the greed and evil? The only reason he even bothered trying to get the Olympics to Chicago was to give kickbacks back to his supporters during the election.

I understand if you're uninformed, but don't go around acting like Obama has accomplished something and is in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize. It was a ridiculous gesture and was awarded to Obama for simply not being Bush. He was put up for it less than two weeks after being sworn in, not like he's done anything since then, but sitll. It is an insult to past winners of the award.

    So what is the problem?
Why would anyone be upset at our sitting president gets honored with an award.
The award is a compliment to the American people.
Read what you are saying Terp.
You are filled with contempt toward our president for what reason?
What are you going to do to improve your community around you?
I don't need to be informed to join in on the peaceful narrative that Obama is all about.
I challenge you Terp to post something positive about life.
Your pessimistic attitude is not healthy to you or anyone listening to you.
Instead of pointing your fingers and crossing your arms, try to open your arms and love thy neighbor and love thy enemy.
Only then will you be happy and find peace.
I really feel sorry for you Terp. Truly, because you seem to have really bought into the extreme radical right that wants our presdent to fail at everything he does.
What kind of American does that make you?
I look forward to a better reply than your last.
Instaed of pointing your finger at me calling me delusional, try to share with us, what's really in your heart.

Hate comes from the ego, not the heart.

    FFT
Did you ever consider that Obama might be the 100th monkey?
You may want to better educate yourself on this topic before responding.

Are there ANY black people you respect and admire?

If Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods was president, would you support them?

If Hillary Clinton was president, would you support her?

You are only 22 years of age and you act like you know something about life.
You have a lot to learn kid.

You're out of your mind for turning this into a racist thing. I couldn't care less about the color of his skin. Continue on as if you know what you're talking about though, please.

I'm not the one ignorant enough to support him blindly just because he IS black. No, I hold him to the same standards as any other president.
