    Maryland Terrapins. Yeah, turtles.

    And the basketball team won the National Championship back in '02 (and the women's team in '06) and the football team was in the Orange Bowl back in '01.

    The bball team was also the only team to beat both teams in the championship last year (UNC and Mich St.) and the football team had 4 ranked wins last year.

    The Soccer team also wins routinely and the lacrosse team is up there, but neither of those is a real sport.

    Guilian Gary went to my high school. Star wide receiver for Maryland from 98-01. Almost went pro, not sure what happened to him.

    Maryland's latest star receiver went #7 in this years NFL draft.

    We'll miss him no doubt. I can't wait to make the trip back there this year for the first home game. Will be my first time back as an alumni.


    Also, forgot to mention...Maryland had one of the greatest basketball players to ever live...who then proceeded to die via cocaine overdose on the day he was drafted in Lenny Bias.

    The last public place he was seen alive was my place of employment senior year of college, too!
