I'm going to write this hand off as a variance swing. After those that tournament I went to the cash table and cleaned house. I made up what I lost in that buy in and some extra.

i am going to agree with eejit here......
i rasie to 550-600 will atleast push the six's out and it will make it tough for the 88's to call here......
if the 88's call the preflop bet he has enough to open shove and that will scream out set!!!
I also agree with eejit on this one. The only thing that you could have done was to raise it a lot higher, especially after the limping pre-flop so that you would them possibly fold and you take down the action pre-flop.
You can't put them on 66 or 88 so don't think that you should expect that every time. It happens but a lot of things can be stopped by precaution thought. Sorry that happened :(
There is nothing wrong with crying.
Thats the cooler man. just thank your lucky stars it happened in the daily dollar. NOthing you can do about that, even if u bumped your raise by a few hundred chips; its the daily dollar, and one of those two hands, if not both of them, are going to call you and the same thing would happen.
Nothin you can do there, cept post about how crazy a hand it was and take a deep breath. And SMILE. You gotta trick your mind, those type of hands have to be, like a funny freak occurence, u cant let it infect ya. Sounds like ur taking it in stride and got good humor about it, so ur doing well. I could prolly take a page outta ur book when it comes to bad beats. just post em and shrug it off, go clean up in a cash game
well i think with it being the daily dollar that guy would have called u all in even if u went preflop. hard to use theories on betting and raises when its a donk fes. there was nothing u could do. u just had bad luck.
I can honestly say that it has taken me a few years to learn to shrug off a beat like that. I took me doing some serious playing and some serious reading on the subject of poker. I've read stuff from professionals and stuff from psychologists about how to avoid tilt. Learning about variance was the best thing to help improve my mental state after a beat like that.
