Quitting smoking IS NOT EASY, no matter how many gimmicks they put on the market to help. Just buy some toothpicks, and regular gum, and keep your mouth busy, and tough it out!

I have it, it's called Chantix. It works by taking the disirable flavor out of cigarettes by releasing the same chemicals in your brain. When you smoke a cigarette, it doesn't have the same taste and you don't get the same high from it. I am saving them because I need to take breaks while playing poker and it helps with the process. Otherwise I would play for 8 hours straight, could go on tilt, and loose my roll. However, that's a good start. Word of advice for quiting anything. The more you think about it (AA, NA) the worse it becomes of a problem. Just don't think about it until it arrises and choose not to.

That's not really how Chantix works. It works by filling in the slots in your brain where the nicotine go's. I know I've tried it. It only helped me a little. I had stopped smoking at night. You are correct though saying it makes your cigarettes taste bad. That it does. It also messes with your brain big time. I was having 6 or 7 dreams every night and recalled not only the dreams but what I was thinking in the dreams as well. It was a nightmare. There has also been more than 250 Chantix users in the past 2 years that have killed themselves or tried to kill themselves. Not to mention the the people that have flipped out and tried to hurt there loved ones on it. There is a Class action lawsuit against the makers of Chantix for over a year now. That script cost me $152.00 for a two month supply, No medical coverage will pay for the drug because it's still experimental.

The chemical replacement is the same thing as chantix blocking nicotene.

    Maybe so.
But I think you have missed my point.

My point it that the drug is dangerous and the risks out weight the cure.

Everything you do in life is dangerous. The beef you buy at the grocery store is injected with chemicals. Your cell phone causes cancer. You can't escape danger. - That really sucks in a way. But thanks for the heads up with the lawsuit and risks.

I was taking it for two weeks and I couldn't control my rage. I would blow up for the tiniest reasons. Once I came real close to hitting my girlfriend over something very petty and I'm not the type of person that hits a family member or any woman for that matter. They even have a TV commercial asking people taking it if they had tried to hurt themselves or a loved one and if they had to join in the class action lawsuit. There's even a web site were people that took it go to tell there horror stories. Here's the link!
