But not generally purchased? How else do you get tobacco? Or marijuana for that matter. And not harmful to humans? IDK I think we're missing something.

Again, it depends on how deep you want to go and what direction you want to take.

It can be smoked, though not in the manner you're referring to, but it doesn't have to be smoked.
