My Black Friday

Didn't Eejit say something about the numerology of 7-8-09, or aug 8th.
Well Friday 7-8-9 was the worst day of my life. I not only had 1 shocking revelation, I had 2. I am praying right now that my Karma wasn't effected
by any of this. I am also focussing now on getting my Good Karma re energized. I think NDN forum will help me get through these things.
But 1 thing is so important that I will have to make NDN forum a lower priority in my life for a while.
School starts next Monday and my Daughter needs my entire focus during school hours. She is starting High school charter. She goes to school once a week and is home schooled the rest of the time.

OK!!!! You want to hear my shocking story. Here goes. I am still shocked and have not dealt with my emotions with either of these things.
This story will be my first attempt at healing my pains.

We went to our cabin this weekend Friday afternoon and was going to drive into Portola 24 miles in morning to bring our grand daughte back and spend another night. As I always do when I go up to the high country, I visit my friend Brazil and bring him milk bread fruit and books.
At 4:56pm on 7-8-9 ( I still can't wrap my mind around this phenomenon yet) I drove to Brazils cabin and from the road I notice 8 police vehicles at his place. I drove by a few times trying to get a better look but didn't go on his property. What the F happened I thought. I waited to almost dark before I got enough courage to confront the police and ask what happened. Fearing the worst, that he had died. Why else would 8 cops be up their I thought.
But first.
While we pondered about what might have happened and not telling our daughter about the cops. My daughter revealed something to my wife
that was so shocking and embarrassing for me as a good dad, that I can't even share it with you. I can say she has lost her Internet priviledges for a very long time and I need to give her alot more attention from now on. I might be able to talk about another time after I have thought about it more. I was ready to cancel the weekend and go back home but my wife said NO because we made plans with grand daughter.
That was a mistake.
As shocking as my daughters problem is, it's minor compared to what I was about to go through and find out.

ok lunch is over ...give! no really guy ...man i hope things can settle in your life... i really hope u r blowing alot of this out of proportion and u will get on here and say ..."Everything is all right ..It was all a big mistake" ... if that cant happen then i hope more time with daughter does the trick! I am A HUGE FAN of parents involving themselves with their children more (so that i see is a good thing) ,,,I just hope all your worries can be subdued with a more clear understanding of what happened....

ok this is hard giving advice when u dont know what the prob is... b ut u know i whould give it a try didnt u..... tc free and family!

OMG... Glo, I was thinking the same thing. The teens call it text sex with pictures. I hope and pray this is not what happened...Do you know kids can get myspace pages with fake email addresses? My 16 year old neice taught me this. I hope your daughters did not get hurt. Maybe there is a reason this man was keeping himself in isolation and off the payroll books....

I drive over Brazils cabin right at dark and no one is there. I walk around house and his dog is gone, his cat is there, he is gone but his 6 pot plants he grows with his medical card are still there. His cabin is locked and no sign of anything at all. I leave and wait till morning so I can see better.
I get no sleep that night. At 6:30am we leave to pick up granddaughter and made call to hospital and sheriffs office with no success. I put out the word to a few friends to ask around for me. On the way back up to cabin, we drove by his cabin again and all is quiet and Brazils truck is not there. Later we decide to go swimming and make phone calls around noon.
We take another look to see if anyone is around Brazils place. I see Brazils truck and 2 other cars. As I get closer down his long driveway I notice that it was not Brazils truck and there are 3 detectives standing on his porch. I ask whats going on and they told me that there has been a homicide on this poperty and could I get out of the car and answer a few questions. As we walked I asked if Brazil was dead and the detective said No he has been arrested for the homicide and he couldn't tell me who the victim was and that he was a local person. My minds was reeling, there was only one person in the valley that Brazil hated and there was strange activity around his cabin as well. The detective asked how I knew Brasil and I told him that he watches my cabin while I am gone. But any answers I give are only hearsay, I told him. as I don't even know his last name. I told him I didn't want to be part of any investigation.
We cut the weekend short after that. Way too much bad energy in the valley. My wifes parents showed up at the cabin 30 minutes after we left and they commented later that they could feel the bad energy.
We forgot we invited them. Well Home sweet home.
I am waiting for more news about the details. It might take a week, I will keep ya all updated. Meanwhile I got alot of healing to do.
P.S. I wish my daughters problem was only ****ography.

My current thoughts on all this is, he must have shot someone in self defense. It was on his property. The detectives didn't ask any questions that would lead me to think it wasn't already an open and shut case.
There was no crime scene tape. It looked as though the cops didn't have access inside his cabin. When I was there, they were video taping his inside through the windows.
I think Brazil was threated by a neighbor and he asked them to leave.
They didn't and he threatened that person with his gun and the person must not have heeded his warning. Brazil probally called the sheriff himself. That's the only senerio that makes any sense to me.
I can't wait to sell my cabin next year now. I lost all my good feeling with the place this weekend.

Wow Ringo I am so sorry that all this has happened to you. I hope what ever problems your are having with your daughter are only temporary. I am sure it is not going to stick with you as your karma is good and I can still feel it. Although I am concerned about your friend. It gives me chills. I am assuming that the two situations are entirely different as I feel no connection. I will pray for you and your family.

I still don't understand how your daughter is connected to this. Do you know who killed who yet or why? This is creepy, I would want to sell too. The cabin will never be the same. You trusted this man and that has to feel a little weird too, especially since you have kids. I still think he was hiding something. This sounds like an NDN mystery. I hope this doesn't haunt you or your family. My thoughts are with you....be careful.

He wasn't hiding anything.
I loved Brazil like a brother and trusted him.
My daughters problem is about a girl she met on the internet who was raped by here dad and my daughter decided to follow in this girls footsteps by self mutilation with a razor blade. There I said it.
She cut herself 9 times. Then she told my wife that she did it because I was mean to her sometimes. That was her first lie. Then she said she read it in a book, but the book was months ago, that was a lie. I knew they were lies so I walked outside and left the rest to my wife. She then admitted about her realationship with her online friend. We have erased that online friend from her life, that was the easy part and she is OK with all of it. We now give her 3 giant hugs a day and talk about getting past this episode and do some healing. This Brazil thing has, in a strange way helped us not over react to our daughters problem and take enough time to agree on a thoughtful loving solution without laying alot of guilt and head trips on her.
It's all about us now.
That is our new montra for the year.

That's a great montra! I never had to deal with "cutting" in my huge family. I don't have much advice for you on this one. I know you love your family. All teenagers go thru the hate thing. You all will overcome this and be a better family because of it. Don't let her hurt your feelings, she doesn't understand what an impact it has on you yet, but one day she will.

A Frenchman Lake area resident was arrested on a murder charge Friday, Aug. 7.

William McConnell, 53, was charged for allegedly shooting a man who, he reported, was trying to steal his vehicle at his home.

The name of the deceased was being withheld until the next of kin could be notified.

Plumas County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a 911 call about 9:30 a.m. Friday, from a man reporting that his neighbor “Bill” might have shot someone at his residence during the previous night. He also reported McConnell shot the victim while he was attempting to steal McConnell’s vehicle.

The accused allegedly waited until morning to report the incident to his neighbor, who then drove from the Dixie Valley area, where there are no phones, to Chilcoot to report the incident.

PCSO units arrived at the residence in Dixie Valley at 11 a.m. Officers arriving on the scene found the victim near McConnell’s vehicle.

They reported the victim appeared to have died from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso.

Officers reported McConnell was also on scene waiting for them to arrive.

An investigation followed, and McConnell was subsequently arrested on a charge of murder.

The suspect was booked into the Plumas County Correctional Center and is being held on $1 million bail.

I know who he shot now pretty much. Still surprised the cops never asked me about him or other questions. I know more about those two's history than most people. I am only talking to Brazils lawyer if he calls.
The cops had their chance and blew it.
If his hand gun wasn't registered, that could be a huge problem for him.
Brazil is highly intellegent and he could have buried the body of this guy and no one would have ever known. He must of thought he was justified in his actions to not try to cover it up.
Even if he is aquitted of this, he still will face 1-2 years in jail before he goes to trial. In California he has the right to a speedy trial 45 days.
In a murder case no lawyer can prepare in that short time. Now he is at the will of the courts.
I need to go visit him soon. They tape the jail conversations now, so that might be a mistake.
Our family had a wonderful 1st day of healing.
Very positive and loving. The stress have got all my muscles in my body sore now and my wifes. Like we ran a marathon. Strange

Stress always makes your body feel that way. The only thing I see he was wrong at was not making contact with the cops right away. This will go against him too. He will have to prove why he waited so long. He did not have a phone, but he still had his car. There was a dead body next to it. Almost sounds like he waited til morning to make sure the man was dead. My Dad always said if you're gonna use a weapon on someone, make sure you finish the job. This way it's only your word and your actions with nobody to fight back. He said if you own a gun you better know how to use it and if you knife someone make sure you stick and turn. My Dad has been around the block a couple of times....Good luck, I hope your family has a good day today!

ok i could never have imagined that!.... the hug thing is great! What about her friend you have pics of on here that visited ...maybe a visit from him could do her good now....u said they were close .... she was vulnerable and got sucked into anothers demented existence... it happens ..maybe not to this degreee...but whatever.... you are dealing with it ...stick to it....she needs you to hold on to her tight now ...you are alll she has till she gets herself back....

when she says you wre mean to her.... please dont take it personal and make her express the things that made her feel that way..... things are never cut and dry ... her feelings are real ... what she says you did will not be what happened (to you) but it is how she percieved it to happen .....try to remember that your belief of how things happened are scewed also ..there is a truth and it will wind up somewhere in between.

she needs to kno we all make mistakes...and you need to own up to whatever your part was in it... do not take all the blame ..make sure she hears your side of this too ,, so she can see how you came to do what you did in this matter... you will both make mistakes in this neverending adventure you are in... make a pact that you two agree to deal with issues verbally and honestly and non judgmental with each other and that when this course of action isnt sufficient that you both agree to take it to a second party.... your wife for example....or her grandparents .. sign it make copies for alll parties to keep. You guys will get through this she is at the age of independece seeking she took a bad turn ...dont stop her from seeking independence just make sure she knows you will always be on her side and that you will always be there for her. above all tho she needs to know mutalation is not the answer and she isnt evil or bad. she used it like a drug or alcohol to run away from her depression. the key will be finding her depression trigger...could it be not having her good friend around anymore?

hope your friend situation clears up for him ..but u r right to go see him ..it is now your turn to help him how u can..if only to help his relatives in taking care of his property fpor him when u can. you dont need to discuss anything about his case,

free don't ever start thinking any of this is too hard to manage ..you can do this.....all the philosophy youve been handing out over the years to others....time to put some of it into action on yourself is all...your wake up call man... I know it all sound horrible and i too have no experience with mutilation but it, drugs,sex,violence, is all a diversion from reality ...reality sucks for us all at times she just needs to learn to not take it so serious ... anything , everything can be fixed .. maybe not the way you/she/us wants .. but what we can never all think alike ..all we can do is manage to not hurt each other too bad while living our best life (so oprah but couldnt find a better way to say it)

well i hope your buddy is alright while he is in jail. i say if u are gonna to jail and talk to him dont talk about what happened because that can be used in court. and u are smart to only talk to his lawyer but after that u will have to talk to the cops so they can check to see if what u said to his lawyer matches with what u are gonna tell him. the fact that he tried to steal ur buddies truck i think is still cause for a murder charge. ill be honest i dont think your buddy is gonna get off. there was no threat to him in away that would warrent him shooting him. worst case scenario would be 2nd degree murder and best case would be manslaughter. i would hope for his sake it would be the later. man he made a wrong chioce to shoot him. now if he tried to run over your buddy then that would have warrented it. but u gotta think that he knew who it was and he should have let it go and then report it to the police. it sounds like he didnt have a phone so it might have been hard to report it but he was able to report the shooting. wow i got mixed feelings about this. i dont think it is worth losing life over a stolen truck. from what u say they have a past and maybe it all boiled over that day. do you think money or anything else had to do with it? he is in a battle for his life and i dont think it will swing his way unless they get him on manslaughter charges and if it does take 2 years hope they give him time served and maybe he will get out after the trial. well ringo if u do talk to brazil tell him i said i will be hoping things work out for him. take it easy bud and dont dwell on what he did. it is tough to see a friend go thru this but u have your daughter to worry about now. keep your head up and use tiger balm for the aching muscles. it always works for me. stress is only what u make of it remember that.

Things are good at home. School started this week and all good and positive.
My friend shot a sheep herder that was trying to steal his truck.
In California, go to jail.
Many other states, like Nevada, you are in the right to shoot someone on your property.
In California, they have to enter your home.

This is great news Ringo! I am so glad to hear that your family is doing well in recovering from all of the misfortune. You are a good man I knew things would be fine. It is just tough sometimes though, as it seems that good men get tested and worked out so they stay strong. It goes without saying to be strong you have to work out to learn patients you have to be tried etc. Seems so unfair on one hand and on the other it makes sense. After all if we did not know bad times, how then could we know and appreciate good times? :)

Now I know why u have being kind of away from the forum. U have lots of problem energy to solve.
Im very sad about what has happend to the brasilian guy. I think That all should have being a big huge mistake. He should never thought about shooting nobody I think. Iven if someone enters your propety I think is wrong shoting first asking after. Anyway. I hope He gets a good lawyer, and a small charge only. About your daugther I think she needs to grow up. Needs to understand life is much harder and better than self mutilation. I mean, I know u are a very intelligent father to show how much u love her, and how much is important to care about the people we live with.
I hope everything is turning out well.
Im sad U really need to sell your property, your cabin. I think would be great for u if u did not needed to sell this. Is always good to have a place to rest. But anyway, U must understand what life has to offer to you.
Dont worry, meditate about the problems and praise also.

I'm glad things are looking up for you Ringo. I feel like Klinkman and I had a black Tuesday of our own last week, and the repercussions are still rippling. But it's getting better and we can see the hands of the God we believe in so much working in all of this. Somehow. I'm glad we all have this support system, that's all there is to it.
