Okay so last night. Was a long night for me.

I was hurting around my hips, kinda like a cramp when someone is on their period but it was really bad and it would not go away so I went to the emergency room.

When I got their I had to fill out the necessary forms with my new last name and I had to wait for three hours.

Waiting for three hours at the emergency room is not fun when you are hurting and pregnant.

I finally go into the room and the Doctor was a flat out ***. And I'm in pain so it does not take much for him to be considered an *** but he was one just the same.

I did lots of blood work it seems and we almost had to get a sonogram because they could not find the baby's heartbeat but after trying really hard a few more times they did and baby blakely is fine! I'll be thankful for that.

All that pain was just the dropping of my uterus which is supposed to happen during 14-16 weeks so I'm not worried but the pain did suck.

It was a scare because this is my first pregnancy but they gave me prescriptions that will be safe to take and I'll get through it.

I got home at 3am though and it kinda sucks on the having to go to work but I'm off work now and I'll be able to relax tonight.

So there is the story if you guys all really wanted to know.

Oh my god that's scary Kaci! I'm so glad you and the baby are okay. I know things like that are supposedly normal but it'd sure be nice if they let you know about that ahead of time! I know what it's like to have to wait in the ER when you're scared, it sucks so much. I'm just glad you and the baby are fine. Keep us posted, okay? We love you!

Thank you very much. Everything is fine but that's not something I want to go through again during the pregnancy. I was scared to death.

Okay thank you so much for the love tay. I will definitely keep you guys updated. And exactly. I would have been so much better if they would have just told me that it was going to happen but you know, they are doctors, and I'm just a common person so they can't seem to inform me.

That part pisses me off, now.

But thank you again and I will keep you updated.

I know what you mean. All our health problems seem to just be normal everyday things for doctors, but they aren't to us! The doctors who understand what we're going through are few and far between. I'm sorry you had to deal with a doctor who was an *** at the ER and wasn't listening to you. I hope your OB/GYN is better! Was your husband with you at the ER?

KaciBlakely
05-08-2009, 02:45 PM
Yes I told him to get his out of bed. I think I was a little mean about it, but I was in pain. My ob/gyn is very good and has a great bedside manner. I just wish the doctors at the Hospital and in the Emergency Room had better beside manner.

I guess that is one thing they do not teach you in medical school.

I know it's not an excuse but I think ER doctors are a lot busier than normal doctors so they're probably not as worried about being nice, although they should be. Patients are in very high stress situations in the ER! I'm glad your husband was with you. Best wishes on a safe delivery!

Haha NDN I think there is a rule about having vowels in people's names, unfortunately. And NoDepositNeeded sounds a little long, lol. But yes, good thing to consider!

Thank you. But I do not think little baby Blakely will become NDN Blakely. Just my theory on that one though. You never know though when I'll be in pain what might happen to come out of my mouth when they ask for a name, so maybe that might happen. I would not want you to lose your hope on that one, lol.

I know they are alot busier and that is not an excuse you want to understand when you are in pain though.

I will make sure to keep my NDN family in mind and keep you guys updated. But only if you wish me a happy mother's day, lol.

Kaci I am so glad you and the baby are fine. Hang in there. Just wait until you are ready/in labor it is very scary but just remember it is sooooo worth it and it will all go away. Happy Mothers day! My best advise to you as a mother is spend as much time as possible with you child because one day they are babies and the next day they are 18 years old. That is no joke. Time flies like you wouldn't believe. This comes from lots of love from me to you as a woman and as a friend. ;) Becoming a mother is a very special thing. It is beyond words.

Oh and if its a girl you can keep the name Lori in mind. lol ;)

Glo Bug they didn't do epidurals when I had my girls. I did it the hard way! And to say that it hurts like you can't explain is quite an understatement. However Kaci when it is over, it is over.... just like that! Than your a little soar but it's a piece of cake considering what you just went through (meaning labor). It is amazing the most amazing thing you might ever experience. Both you and your husband.

This is not generally the case. They have procedures to prevent such things. At least here they do.

I am and I am using coco butter lotion so that the stretch marks will be minimal.

I'm a tiny girl and I do not want the baby to ruin my body.

We can live happily together if my body does stay in shape, lol.

Thank you for telling me labor is going to be killer, essentially.

I'm not looking forward to the pain but to meeting my baby I am.

Its due date is November 1st, go me and Baby Blakely!

Oh and I used to be obsessed with Gilmore Girls, and thought about naming a girl Lorelai and calling her Lori.

I really really was thinking about it, until the hubby axed that one.

Glo Bug for baby name.

Omigosh! Loved this Glo Bug. The part about his friend forgetting to drop a deuce, is priceless humour. I'm not to worried but I have 6-7 months for that to happen, and I'm sure it will, it seems natural to be worried about it.
