I think the flop raise was ok, as long as if he calls you slow down on the turn. You have monster outs, but being out of position sucks here, so if you arent folding this rubbish hand preflop, then I think check behind on the turn and see what the river is.

He isn't out of position at all! Villan led out on the flop and checked to him on the turn. I do think I like checking back on the turn.

I like the turn bet. The villain slowed down after his flop bet was called. I'd assume a similar draw; it just so happens he was setting a trap. More often than not, the villain will fold a draw, though, imo.

Well at least you got some value out of your draw. Alot of people will not bet on the draws and just check or check call, waiting to hit the draw, which may be giving out the read that your drawing, so when you do hit, villians will be scared to make a play then. I say bet a high out drawing hand and get some value for when they do hit.

The problem with semi-bluffing here is that the villian has already showed a willingness to call. I've found that a good share of opponents that call when their bet is raised are intending to call all the way down. In that situation, taking a free card to try and hit your draw is awesome, and leaves you with a great chance to get paid off when you do make your hand.
