    Default FACEBOOK STEALING PHONE #'s

To all my facebook friends, I have deactivated my account because
they now allow all contacs to view all my phone #'s. I tried several times to delete my phonebook ( which I did not create ) with no success.
"We are deleting all email and phone contacts you previously uploaded to Facebook. This may take a few minutes."
This is the message I get when I try to delete phonebook and it just stalls out and does nothing.

All you need to do is take your phone number off your facebook. If you never entered one to begin with, it shouldn't be visible to anyone.

Or keep that information visible only to your friends, and only accept requests from people with whom you are comfortable having your number

I don't want to lose a good way of keeping in touch with you!

Yea I would be careful about what you on facebook as far as personal information is concern. Like the other posts say there are several options for you to take so you do not have to lose your facebook page.

Facebook is cool and all, but it has it's problems. I get broken links, viruses on my wall, just waiting for me to click them. One was posted on all my friend's walls with my name attached and I had not sent out anything. Hackers will always be around, so be careful. I use one email for sites and one for personal, family, job resumes. I also have one for surveys and stuff I know I will get lots of junk mail. I have a fourth for online gambling sites. I don't take no chances with my personal information including my birthdate. X

Facebook is just an advertising medium. Everyone should just quit using them and stay in touch with people via phone or email.

Lol, I know the list has already been made for tonights game. I'm getting my count up for the next one. And I figured quality would mean anything more then 3 words, all of them are relevant... I've been a member for close to 10 months, but never really got involved in the forums. Hopefully that can change now.

no really. businesses are flooding to facebook and twitter because they know that's where the people are "networking". it's also an awesome opportunity to have friends pass things on by word of mouth. take a look around and try to tell me that after you see a facebook and twitter link at the bottom of every business website you visit.
