I am not a big fan of the way he plays cards but he has the money to buy into as many events that he would need. I guarentee if I had the cash to play in whatever events I felt the need to I would have me a bracelet before too long.

I think i have the same impression that everyone else does: hes a one hit wonder who got lucky and itll never happen again. The only shred of hope he has is by the sheer volume of WSOP events that he can play, hes bound to catch another run of cards like he did... and as long as he doesnt show his cards, over-celebrate a "victory", or any amateur stuff like that god bless him. If i had that kinda money id be playing in every event . But no, he will not win another one

u know i wont knock him for how he won his bracelet because he was a one men wrecking machine. dont know if anyone won a bracelet in that convincing of a fashion. he talked way to much and got suckers to go in on hands with him. i hate blue berries though because of him. maybe one day he will choke on one. i have only seen him play oin poker after dark since winning his bracelet. he doesnt talk there like he did because he is playing with real pros.seen him get busted out 1st there twice. he is such a a-hole. but heh did a fantastic job at winning his bracelet.

I dont know if it was just overplayed in the media or something, but i guess his father was real sick as the tournement was going on, and they needed to get him a surgery or something, and his son JUST SO happens to win all that money. Now i'm not much for that kinda stuff, but it definately makes you wonder. Its like, yea he won and probably shouldnt have, but theres was like, something else at work, somethign unseen. Like he just needed the money so bad that he just kinda willed it to happen... whether it be showing cards or talking or what he bet; like he jus did all the things had to do in order to win. definately something to think about. ( what a moment though when he calls his old man at the end... definately a little touching ;*()

That was so set up its unreal. He mighta been ill, but filing the phone call was just weird. No way id let someone do that. Personal phone call man.

As for him "wrecking the field". He was all in as a dog twice and won both times on day 1. On day 2 he made a huge move as he played and won every hand he played. Aparently he got dealt playable hands every hand, and he would call raises with KJ and flop KJ2 vs someone with AK or something.

Running like that and winning is fine, but he was never a pro player before he won it. Bodog sponsored him after other sites rejected him because he had "no influence" in the TV world as he said he did. Bodog risked a bit on hi and they won HUGE.

I still think im better than him at MTT play.

God I hope not. Jamie Gold is partially responsible for poker losing popularity. He's dirty, and the kind of douchebag that can give poker a bad name. I hate almost everything about the guy. I was glad about the incident on High Stakes Poker where Jamie Gold wanted to play on credit and Doyle Brunson wouldn't allow it. Doyle was adament about it, and Jamie Gold sulked away for a while like the little spoiled brat that he is.

The weirdest thing about Jamie Gold for me is that he is EXACTLY like a kid I played basketball with who later committed suicide. So much so in fact that a friend of mine and I made a bet as to whether Gold would commit suicide. As long as Gold kills himself before age sixty, I get paid. I'm not one much for prop bets, but that's one I couldn't turn down.

Here are reasons why Jamie Gold will never win another wsop bracelet or the main event.

    1. Everyone knows his game.

No one actually thought he was telling the truth and that was the game plan. Now people know his plan and he needs to switch it up but he has yet to do so in a way that it pays off in a wsop bracelet event.
