Default How to stay being strong

Recently I have been playing awesome poker. took 10 dollars and got it to 100 then donated it back to the poker community.

I felt for a week Sun to Thrusday I was playing strong poker. Meaning making right reads and getting my money in a high perctange all in. Then Friday came and I got donk out a lot and I started playing bad (not tilting) but just playing weaker b/c I got donk out.

Does anyone know how to stay playing strong poker? or any comment would be great.!!! thanks thenutz12234

Take breaks, take breaks, take breaks! I honestly don't think there is any better way to get over a slump than to just get away for a day or so. It just seems that once a slump starts, even if you are still playing solid poker nothing seems to go right. I do my best to walk away. Sometimes playing at a different site helps too. I mainly play at AP now but have gotten a couple of nice rolls going at two other sites while taking time off of AP. Basically I don't have the patience to keep playing when I've been donked too many times. So time away suits me perfect.

I play my best tournament poker after not playing for over a week before hand. That miniFtops I placed in, I hadn't played in over a week and a half before it. Also, I know your talking about cash tables. Honestly, having the funds to play 2 or 3+ tables at a time is way better because online cash is very robotic. People mostly do the same things with certain hands. Plus you can't actually get a physical read on someone so there's no reason to play by feel in online cash. Play math, play the percentages, and play solid tight poker. You can't go broke while multi-tabling low limits like that.

I came back to say exactly what kings is talking about. I usually have 3 or 4 tables open at a time and that seems to keep things settled for me. If one table hasn't been profitable for me after a few rounds of blinds, I simply close out and find a new one. Once you play the same limits for long enough you start to see the same players quite a bit. Take notes on the familiar faces and just wait for them to hand you the money. I look for tables with the highest avg pot and usually watch for a round or so to see how everyone is playing.

Thanks, kings and arsenal. I am taking some time off and building a bankroll with free-rolls.

why do you look for high percentage tables. I prefer low percentage tables b/c I added more tables during my hour session. A lot different from playing just one table. It usual is a lot slower than high percentage tables and I found it easier.

Don't donate back to the poker community to start with lol!!! I say play smart and slow always helps, but you kinda can't help it when the sites start to rake back in off you so just play whats comfortable for you.
