Sound like 1 of 3 possibilities. Button has landed 3 of a kind, also has a very strong over pair, or thinks you missed that flop and is bluffing with decent over cards.

So that leaves Hero some choices which are, fold, call or reraise all in. If I got a nice bankroll and can afford to lose 11.32. then I am reraising all in. If itll hurt I would fold and wait till I hit the flop a little better next time.

    Hmm.

Villain bets pot back into you preflop - suggesting TT+ and AK+. So if you limit it to these hands You are ahead of 4 of them (TT,JJ,AKs,AK), tying 1 (QQ), and losing to 2 (KK,AA).

Limiting it like this, your equity from the pot is large. Looking at the hand (bear in mind im gonna think this like its higher levels), villain is representing AA/KK, but if so, why the hell is he trying to get you in on this flop so soon? Surely this is a perfect flop to see a turn and check raise you or check/trap you.

So, looking at it, im gonna assume villain has AK suited, or JJ.

If anyone folds here, then I think your playing tighter than a ducks a$$.

The reason i posted it is because I felt as though I played it -ev despite the result.

I folded and he showed AA, but I think I should have called.

he was button btw, he had position.

It's great to know you will lay down Queens.
An overplayed A9 suited will do quite nicely in future plays against you.
What is your name on Full Tilt?

Are you saying there is no time you should lay down queens on a no over flop?

Please, please do find me and over play A9. I don't think you have the balls to put 50+ BBs in the middle with A9 on a blank flop.

My first thought would be Aces, Kings, maybe a set. These days though you really don't know, someone could try to buy the pot by making stupid playing holding ace/king. I would have to fold and wait for a better chance.

    Instafold.

Its a knack of lower stake players to massively overplay big hands (After all, you "never slowplay aces"). If Im playing a 2/4 NL game, I probably snap call.

EEjit frequently fails to take such things into account. Moron.

good laydown. He played like he had AA/KK and you recognized it. At these limits, play isn't very tricky, it's very robotic, much like this hand.

extremely robotic. I can manage up to 12 Rush tables at these limits without hurting my ROI because of how ABC it is. Just need to be able to multitask and remember betting patterns on tables that have pots being built.

yes eejit, at the 1/2 NL tables in a casino, or hell even 2/4 online, this isn't a good laydown. The problem here is he's playing .05/.10 tables. Trying to play like a professional poker player online, especially fulltilt, doesn't work at these limits. Believe me, i'v been trying it for years and it DOES NOT work. Being able to adjust your play at different levels is what makes you a successful poker play...and i'm still waiting on my success...haha

Fair point, i guess i dont play at these levels. But even though, if the standard of player here is worse, surely they are making this play with pretty much anything
