Default Who is interested in a freeroll and what Room?

    Hi everyone ,
I need to know who would play and what room if we start poker tournaments? Here is the choices please give reasons why , which of the poker rooms do you already have an account?
    1.poker stars
    2.Full Tilt
    3.Bodog
    4.GR88.COM
Please also post the country of residence when you post.I have thought about this and i am willing to put in $5.00 a month for the number of active players we have in the forum .Today there are 39 active players so based on that number we would have $195 for free rolls .If we get to 100 we would have $500.00.I am talking about unique ip visitors not each person making 20 new accounts today.I believe in giving to the people who make this a success.
My Aunt is talking to NDN as they are much more advance than me when it comes to running tournaments. If things go well with NDN help and your support I think we can start running some poker games in September when kids go back to school.Let's discuss this now

    +1 for Full Tilt.

It's not that hard to set up tournaments, btw. Just an email to Full Tilt support.

Iagree with terp, fulltilt for sure, country of residence is USA. Only bad thing about fulltilt is they got alot of people so we would have to keep the password under tight wraps, where say only active folks would get it, other wise we will have 500 or more people we dont even see around here show up and crash the game

Tilt works for me as well. USA is my home. +1 on keeping the password under wraps. Outsiders will really spoil the game.

Tilt or Stars is fine for me.
Even Cake poker might be OK.
    I'm from US.
    Never heard of GR88.com
Does anyone know anything about them?

If we can get freerolls for other games besides NLH that would be cool, too.
Also, you could consider doing private buyin tourneys or buyins with money added. I know that in the past NDN has assisted with transfers from one site to another so that people could play in the buyin tourneys.

We can also need to think about what time we should run the tourneys. I prefer 9pm EST or later but I know that is too late for some of the members.

As far as keeping the password safe, I think a PM a few hours before the tourney to activate members should help prevent the password from being leaked.
I never understood why someone leaks these PWs since it just cuts down on your EV. If a friend wants the PW, all they have to do is join the forum. Really not that difficult. I think NDN even used to give out referral bonuses.

I plan to pm members who post in the free roll thread the day of tourney I think it would be a great idea even just to test it with the few of us here.I agree 9pm EST is good time to play ,I will have to look at the fall TV line up to pick a night hahaha.I know thursday and Sunday are out for sure as I watch a bunch then lol.

GR88.com is new Merge poker room which is offering us n/d bonus for the players and some free roll money .I see many of you are not merge fans so I did not make it live yet.

I like merge, wish the had more deposit and cashout options, but other then that they are a cool site, and i like how you can custom make the table layout.

I will flat out refuse to play any buyin games on Merge. It's such an ugly, clunky, unforgiving skin.

Well we can't please everyone ,I will have to try merge so i know what you mean or try to find a screen shot of a merge poker room lol.But it is important to pick a room that has options for USA players to cash out ,I am very much looking to USA members to give me feedback on this.

Hi! I am from Ocala, FL USA. Tracy, where are you from? I'm sure I missed this info.... I like tilt or stars. I really don't like to play in rebuy games because they take too long. Late night games are not good for me either. Good Luck with everything!

well i say tilt and also usa. as for passwords i say send a pm to all the active members on the forum to play. we have had way to many password theives in the past. as soon as one gets it. it tends to spread like wildfire. but it is all up to you.

we are going to run both free rolls and buy in .Rebuys and buyins obviously increase the pot though.

I prefer Gr88 as it is a merge room, but will do Fulltilt or PokerStars too if that is where the most want to play. I have never had any problems withdrawing from merge sites by the way and have never deposited so always do checks. Have never withdrawn from Fulltilt or PokerStars so don't know about them.

Not sure why everyone likes to pay the extra rake that Fulltilt charges compared to other rooms. If you play a buyin like $3 it is plus .50 and all the other places I play it is $3 plus .30.

Might as well add that I hate rebuys and addons, because everyone becomes more of a donkey the first hour when they can rebuy.

    I am from Georgia, USA

What? Full Tilt is 10% rake (less for Turbos) with the exception of the $2+.25

    The $3 game is $3+.3

The only room cheaper is Merge and that's because they realize they're crap and try to bring in more people.

I mean hell, if you exit the lobby of a game, it may take you 20 minutes to find the lobby again on Merge!

I personally dislike rebuys-- would prefer a straight freezeout with no late registration. I like to know who and what I'm playing for at start.

As for game, I would love a HA or H.O.R.S.E. mix (now HEROS, actually) game, but I don't mind Hold 'Em.

NDN suggested we have multiple rooms and rotate them up to keep everyone happy .I think that is a fair idea .
