Since you knew he was not on a flush draw, what did you put him on. A set a Straight draw. Cards on the river that are scare cards for you, K, Q and 10.......Since you pegged him for not having a flush draw.....I might have made bigger bets to get the flush draw and Straight draw out of there!!!

If you don't put him on the flush I'm with him you have to put him on a striaght or two pair, espically when the last card was the 10d. That gave him a great deal of hands you could have hit. I would have bet bigger on flop and turn to try to scare him away, but would have just called the bet on the river.

Check/calling is the way to go on the river. The guy may have known he had 12 outs all the way, unless you have KJ or KQ, but to me I would maybe reraise you ont he turn and shove the river with KQ, seems like he could have got you off it. In actuality, he just sucks

I concur. You had the right read in the sense that you knew he didn't have the diamonds, and I hope you stuck around and milked him for the rest of his money after that
