All I can say is that as played you just need to remember the guy and play against him as much as possible. If he is willing to chase a 9 out hand to the river calling a minimum of 1/2 pot the whole way he is going to continue to lose money.

On the flip side, where do you think he put you throughout the hand? Do you think he assigned you top pair or did he think you were bluffing? How active were you at the table? How active was he? How much history did you two have together? Did you show a few bluffs the last few hands?

Those are just a few questions to ask yourself about the hand. After considering those facts, make notes about him to use in the future, especially if you expect to see him in the future.
