    Default Live poker hand

ok so we are at a 6 handed $1-$2 table and i pick up 10h jd in the hijack seat...and i throw a raise to 6 bucks out.....the button calls me...a very loose player who lovs to play pots vs me for some reason...

the flop falls js 9d 3d

i lead out for 8 dollars into a 15 dollar pot so about 1/2 the pot and the bb calls and asks the dealer for a dimond.....right then i don't put the guy on a dimond draw b/c every time he has asked for the flush to hit he hasn't had it and has shown many bluffs this way

the turn falls a nice big blank 5h

and i throw a good size bet of 22 dollars out...and he calls and again asks for a dimond

the river falls 10d and i check with top 2 pair hoping he will bet
and he does he snaps all in....i end up calling and losing about 50 more i had behind to his gutshot kq......

i feel i woulda folded if he hit his over card a k or q ...but when i river top 2 and don't have the guy on dimonds i think i gotta call there

any feedback would be greatly appriciated

All I can say is that as played you just need to remember the guy and play against him as much as possible. If he is willing to chase a 9 out hand to the river calling a minimum of 1/2 pot the whole way he is going to continue to lose money.

On the flip side, where do you think he put you throughout the hand? Do you think he assigned you top pair or did he think you were bluffing? How active were you at the table? How active was he? How much history did you two have together? Did you show a few bluffs the last few hands?

Those are just a few questions to ask yourself about the hand. After considering those facts, make notes about him to use in the future, especially if you expect to see him in the future.

Since you knew he was not on a flush draw, what did you put him on. A set a Straight draw. Cards on the river that are scare cards for you, K, Q and 10.......Since you pegged him for not having a flush draw.....I might have made bigger bets to get the flush draw and Straight draw out of there!!!

who was it by the way sounds like nate or yager

If you don't put him on the flush I'm with him you have to put him on a striaght or two pair, espically when the last card was the 10d. That gave him a great deal of hands you could have hit. I would have bet bigger on flop and turn to try to scare him away, but would have just called the bet on the river.

Check/calling is the way to go on the river. The guy may have known he had 12 outs all the way, unless you have KJ or KQ, but to me I would maybe reraise you ont he turn and shove the river with KQ, seems like he could have got you off it. In actuality, he just sucks

I concur. You had the right read in the sense that you knew he didn't have the diamonds, and I hope you stuck around and milked him for the rest of his money after that
