I wanted to get some helpful tips or comments

i was at a cash game the other weekend. .25/.50 I won 120 dollars during the day.

Then the night game started .50/1.00. I bought in with 60 bucks so i can free roll from my earlier session. So this guy bet ten dollars pre once with A2 suited. I said to my self this guy is mine, weak player, and throwing his money around.

Anyways this hand is what I want help on. I am BB with 40 bucks infront of me. this guy (that a mention above) raises 10 pre.

I am BB and i looked down at 10's. So i decided to push all in for 40. My read was AX suited and was hoping for a fold. he snapped called with K2 suited. well he hit runner runner for a flush........

Do i not push there, call pre and pray for no high cards!!!! My read was on but didnt get paid!! poker beat to feed the donk...

Well I smooth call with 10s alot,and lose anyways.Sounds like this pro woulda pushed anyways, unless you were betting first.I hate most hands now unless I flop the nutz lol.I find days nutzza where I can't win with anything.

I've been playing a lot of cash games at Absolute lately and I have to say that a 10x BB bet is too much for me to stay in with holding 10's. Yeah the player is loose, but those players seem to get lucky more often than not. I do, and always will wait for a better spot. I also always buy in for the max amount. I know a lot of players that buy in for half the max because a lot of players don't take small stacks too seriously and you can double up quite easily. For me, especially at cash table with a huge donk, I just stay patient. The hands will come and when they do you will almost always get called by the donks. Way too many hands can beat 10's for me to call that bet though.

i would of smooth called, and hoped he missed the flop when i bet big,so 3/4 the pot,good chance he folds then.

Here is my input.

Based on what we know, which doesn't seem to be much, guy popped it to 10x with A2 suited, but we don't know the position. This is our only refrence for the hand in question. Based on that, here is my thoughts.

Very simple. FOLD. He has shown a wide range for any number of different positions. He could be holding AA, or as mentioned K2 suited. Another option is to call the preflop raise, hope for unders and hammer the flop. I think you might get the suited cards out, unless they hit 4 to the flush.

Maybe i should tell more. It was live cash game. which is a huge difference from online. If it was online i would of smoothed called and then hammered the flop. It was live and this guy showed no sense of poker and was throwing his money around like it was pennies.

I Pushed all in B/c my read was he had one over on my tens. Knowing that I had to dodge 3 cards in the deck which overall I did. He hit runner runner flush. Fine I lost.

what gets me is; ok he bet 10x with rags and then I make it 40x the big blind. How do you call that. I guess i was low stack and he did not take me seriously. I just put the odds in and it says:

kd 2d 31.1%


hitting one diamond and now pair on the flop

My read was right and i should of got paid!!! I guess some people do not know poker.

It doesn't matter of it was live, online, or a game with 9 dead presidents. Based on his range and the odds of an A or K hitting the flop, I believe this was a poor push spot. While yes your read was spot on, there is no debating that, there is just too big a range of cards he could be playing that you can't feel your 10's are so good that you need to push. The most action I commit at this point is a smooth call and see a flop. On top of the large range of cards he could have you are out of position for the entire hand.

I'm glad it was only profit you lost, but think you could of picked up more by calling and betting the flop with no overs.
