    Default When white is brown

Do you ever get disgusted at the sight of dirty snow?
Everywhere we go, the beautiful white snow is covered with dirt.
Picking up dog crap is not messy in the dirty snow though.

I know what you mean about the dirt, I have seen it too! And I saw a show about those dogs that pull people. And they showed everything, even poop scooping and it was pretty easy frozen. lol

Related to that, I've never had snow ice cream- still want to. When is the best time to do that? I know they say never the first snow of the year, but what happens when it snows in December and then again in February?? Which snow should I eat? Neither?

Of course this assumes it snows in Oklahoma in both months, which it usually doesn't.

Oklahoma snow is a scary thought to eat.

I would try the stuff in the middle.

    Instructions
    Things You'll Need:
    Snow
    Clean buckets for collecting snow
    Step
    1
    Learn the facts.

There is a continuing debate about whether any person should consume any amount of snow. Research "eating snow" and decide if you are going to take the risk of eating snow.

Any snow located on the entire planet Earth contains pollutants. Snow contains pollutants from everything including : smog, factory pollutants and other harmful chemical pollutants. It's best to limit an average person snow intake to one cup of snow every 5 years (or less).

    Step
    2
    Collect fresh falling snow.

Don't start collecting snow until it has been snowing for at least 1 minute.

Place your snow collecting buckets on a flat surface and leave them alone until they have filled up with snow.

All of this snow is safe to eat!

    Step
    3
    Collect fallen snow.

If you come across a big pile of snow and would like to eat some of it, then,

Remove the top layer of snow. Wipe away about an inch or a half of an inch of snow from the top of the pile and collect snow that has been protected by that outer layer of snow that you had wiped away.

Dirt and debris can quickly settle on an outer layer of snow. Simply wipe off the outer layer of snow to reveal the clean snow in the middle of the snow pile.

    Step
    4
Don't collect dirty or discolored snow.

Don't eat snow with dirt or sticks in it!

Don't eat any off colored snow, this includes : yellow and red snow.

Only eat freshly fallen, clean and bright, white colored snow!
