Default Does Railing Help or Hurt you?

Railing has become common place in todays forums.
I have enjoyed several tourneys with my forum pals in the chat rooms and on the tables.
However, I have found that railing is a huge distraction
for me. I tend to play looser and show off abit too much.
I can also play way too tight while being railed.
When I do my best in tourneys, is when I am in the zone and playing by feel and achieve and maintain an intense
concentration on every hand and every player.
I can't get that with railers and chatters.
I do believe that railing and chatting does help other players, it just doesn't help me.

I play WAY better when I'm being railed IF I am talking to the person on AIM/MSN

When I tell somebody what I have and mention a play, typing it out usually helps me make a better decision and avoid snap decisions. I find I may way less bad plays when i'm being railed, especially in o8.

I like railers and railing, to a certain extent. I like to concentrate fiercely as well, and try my best to pay attention to any lil detail, wether it be betting patterns, the time they take to make decisions, the style of play, and how often. I find all that hard to do when chatting alot, and i wont chat at a poker table with someone, just on messenger. Often times folks think im ignoring them lol, im just in the zone.

I agree with this too. Its always nice to have someone to run some plays with. I've filled quite a few leaks in my game by doing this mid tournament.

Unless its eejo. Then I manage to donk. He sucks.

I think being on the Rail makes it very hard to pay attention! So I try to stay away from chatters and play my game, but there are days I need to have many things up to distract me because it is good to leave my chips alone when they are high

But seriously I had the most fun giving NDN members support when we had the BAP or when they were watching me....good times!!! It can be a distraction too though....
