Default Done the facebook, now for the NDN update

    Im engaged. Properly engaged too.

Ask Jen on friday night to marry me. She said yes and just looked sooo happy.

For the details, ill post a quick thingy.

Went to see my parents for the weekend, so i can be godfather to my aunt's son, so my nephew i guess, and after that we hit up Jens parents on the way back.

Told my mum i was thnking about doing it, and we had a discussion.

She told me i should give her the ring her dad got her mum, or my dad got her or something, and if she didnt like it or anything, keep it, and hand it down when i have kids.

Its 24carat gold, with 1 carat of diamonds, a little cluster of 9 around a big centre one. Very sparkley. She hasnt taken it off (even tho it need resizing down by one size, but it fits fine).

Off home now, enjoy your day

Eeeep I'm still so excited for you guys! Proposals are wonderful wonderful happy times! Hooray for eejit!

I have a new ring with Klink's grandmother's engagement diamond set in, so I definitely approve of the heirloom ring choice. I'm not one for having my future husband spend inordinate amounts of money on me anyway even if he had it, and something meaningful but less expensive is always better than breaking the bank with a huge sparkly ugly thing that doesn't have any special significance.

    Eeep still so happy! *gush*

oh also, on the ring size thing, I don't know how you guys do it over there, but if she intends to wear a wedding band and her engagement ring at the same time after the wedding, then you're going to want to keep the ring one size bigger than normal so they don't get stuck on her finger or anything. A little tip I had no idea about either and got from one of my married friends. So you may not need to worry about resizing after all, though doing that's pretty easy and inexpensive.
