Default How deceptive are you really?

As a poker player, do you think about what image you create at the table and play accordingly?
Or do you just focus on other players and your game stays pretty consistant?

By accordingly I mean, you enter into a deceptive bluffing game and are quite successful at decieving.

I experiment with deception quite often and I have had good success.
Getting into the head of the other players is difficult, but when you play with people that know your game, it is much easier to think what they think your thinking and decieve them.

I think bluffing is a skill of it's own I don't think that you can bluff everyone
but there are times you can make a lead by doing so. Bluffing people you
know is more complicated then bluffing online wouldn't you say! I think it is because
the people I play with are really good poker players and I'm still learning. Best of luck on
    twitting your deception hands

Playing cash I am constantly looking at my image as well as thinking of how I can exploit this to get a positive return on my investment. For example...I haven't played a hand in 2 or 3 times around the table, I am dealt 45 of spades under the gun and I decide this is the prettiest hand I've seen in a while and want to stick with it. I raise from under the gun like i have AA or KK, min or 2.5x the Big blind. If i get a small re-raise I'm still calling here because I can easily get away from 45 suited if I don't hit, and I can also bet out if the flop comes low and I hit big, looking for a re-raise. This all started with playing off my image of a tight player, but in reality it's quite a loose play. Ideally, with this hand what you want though is everyone to fold or 2-3 cold calls, this disguises your hand perfectly and enables you to still C-bet post flop. This is deception at it's finest, when your opponent thinks you might have a premium hand and you flip over 45s...it's a great feeling!

In tournaments I tend to focus on my opponents. Whats the table doing in general? Who's loose, who's tight, who is a blind defender, who's an ATM? Also, I take notice of anyone playing wild late position poker and make it my duty to take there money either by re-raising all-in when they put significant chips on the table, or just calling them down with a pair or 2 when they bet big. I don't get too crafty or "sweet" as alot of people call it. Unless I have a nut hand, I'm generally value betting in tournaments trying to build a monster stack.
