I dont really have anything to critique on this hand, other than the fact I would have just shoved it preflop every time win or lose. i critique the guy that beat you with such a horrible hand, or that he would continue to draw it out even after the flop.

    Tournament #203748458, $0.10+$0.00 USD Hold'em

That is your first problem right there. You can't expect people to always make the correct play at that level. Now on with the look in.

Preflop I don't like your raise at all. You went 9x the bb with is a bit big for AQ off. I would think raising to around 3 to 5x the bb would be better. I will explain why later. Now, your opponent calls. What do you think he puts you on? Did you consider that. He probably has you on something other than AA or KK, more like 6's or 5's. He calls looking for the over cards or the flush. The total in the pot is 1000 chips. You bet out on the flop, which is a good play, but your bet wasn't big enough. You gave him 3.5 to 1 to call on the flop. On the turn, when he picks up a huge number of outs you bet 350 into a pot of 1800. He was calling 350 chips into a pot of 2150. He was getting 6 plus to 1 to call on the turn. With flush draw and straight draw outs, plus the possibility of hitting his over card and thinking he was good you should get 15 outs. That is 30% to hit and he is committing like 12% to the pot. I call that every time.

Now, let's say you went to 4x instead of 9x the bb. The pot on the flop will be 500 chips and your bet of 400 looks alot more serious. I personally think your whole problem began preflop when you raised too much. You bet on the flop made your hand look like something it wasn't and cost you the hand.

    Just my thoughts.

it was AQ suited not off ...does that change your thoughts on the preflop ? why i bet what i did....thought i needed to make it huge....when the flop came i really think i needed to all in or pot raise ...but i think this guy was stickin with me all the way .....he had a 10 5 suited? would you have play for 9x raised preflop with that hand? but thanks for your thoughts...i agree once the turn came ..im in all the way with his hand but before that "why is he even there?" .....i mean the flop gave him a hand where he needed to runner runner either for a flush or a str8t ...so u think he called because the bets weren't big enuf for the pot that was out there...so he had to stay...yeah i like my preflop bet but i really think i need to go strong on the flop when it hit.

    thanks all!

Raise alot less preflop, 250 works.

    Check/call the flop

    Bet/raise the river.

    check/call the river.

Ill go more in depth later as im at work

firstly you bet 8x the big blind....WHY? with a hand like AQ suited to one player, your either gonna lose a big pot or win a small one. make it like 200-250 to go and you may get another caller...and an even bigger pot, one in which you should SHOVE ON THE TURN...however, this donkey called your flop bet (which was less than half the pot) with nothing. called your turn bet with a gutshot and flush draw(with a pair on the board-not a smart play) and runners the gutshot on the river. The donk was gonna call your allin on the turn, fyi so theres no getting away from this. Which brings me to my next point. DONT VALUE BET THE FLOP...you price people like this in who want to see another card cheaply before making their decision to shove or fold. Take a decent pot down on the flop here and you add over 800 chips back to your stack, at 25/50 blinds thats a nice pot.

I cehck the flop every time. I mean, yeah the bet on the flop might look weak and then hopefully get raised, but im thinking level 4 here.

In a $0.10 game, just shove preflop
