Here are some possible changes/plans that will be implemented in October:

The chips system will be radically changed or removed permanently.

I really loved the concept of the chips system and I will be sad to see it go. However, it was simply too difficult to find something that a community this large with such varied opinions could agree on.

If the chips system remains - This is how it will work in the future:

No chips will be awarded based on posts.
Instead, chips would be earned by logging in, referring members, and several other ways that do not involve posting.
Chips could then be redeemed for cash once again, but ONLY if you are above a certain tier level based on reputation.

I have yet to look at the feasibility of this, but it's one possible way to keep the chips system and bring back the rewards that everyone loved.

As of today, I am the only official admin/moderator of NDN. Any concerns involving NDN should be brought directly to me and to me only.

Eejit101 has been an amazing help, but with the new changes in store, there is no longer a need to have an extra moderator. He's a great friend and one of the oldest members around, so you can definitely still count on him for anything that you need. He knows more about NDN than I do so feel free to ask him for help whenever you need it.

On or around October 1st, chips will no longer be awarded for anything. There will be an announcement as to what you can do with your existing chips after the first. Later in the month of October, I will reset everyone's chip count to zero and/or remove the chip system altogether.

During October (possibly not until November) we will be running some amazing poker promotions (such as a poker marathon). We will run a few other crazy contests as well.

As soon as we've done those, we will see a return of the NDNPT (No Deposit Needed Poker Tour) with the same format that we've all loved in the past. This will be open to everyone with no special requirements to register.

I'm certain there are some other changes I am forgetting, but this is the bulk of it for now.

Out with the old and in with the older! Back to the basics and back to having fun!
