    Default Imagine with me...

Today marks what would have been the 69th birthday of John Lennon. More than anything else, he championed peace and love in his music, and challenged us to do the same. Today his widow, Yoko Ono, challenges us to perform an act of peace to commemorate John's life. What will you do today to bring peace to the world? Just remember, like John, we all shine on.

    Sorry Tay really!

But I have a question for both Ringo and TerpZ. I wonder does it really matter what any of us thinks? Would it change anything? Could what anyone of us think make a difference? If any of these questions has a yes as the answer. Please explain. Thanks, Lori

You aren't insinuating that it's not worthwhile to be politically informed, are you?

Wow this thread exploded. Ummm I don't really know what to say except I guess this goes to show why we still need John's message in this world! I think both Terp and Ringo have well-taken points here, just...let's stop all the fight! War is over, if you want it.

You are answering a question with a question. Lol What kind of answer is that?

To answer you question... I am not insinuating anything. It is just a question in ref to the debate. I just wanted to know yours and Ringos opinion on this. That's all.

I learned many years ago Lori that it is best to focus on the things you can control in your life and not the things you can't control.
I also came to realize that I don't know near as much as I thought I did and that there are a vast amount of people smarter than me.
This debate started because Terp decided to take hijack Tays thread about peace and John Lennons birthday and turned it into his
own I hate Obama thread. I was hoping to help him see that negativity
in any form is not good for anyone and to try to view life in a more positive and helpful way. I tried to help.
I am sorry now that I included Obama in the same post as Lennon,
as a comparision of a symbol for peace.
As far as Terps challenge for me to show him proof of accomplishments
making him worthy of a noble peace prize.
Well theJuanupsman showed a great perspective.
Terp says NAY and Ringo say YAY.
Yay for peace, love and understanding and the message that Obama
sends to the rest of the world.

I don't have a problem with you making that comparison, it made sense to me.

So basically you can't prove it, because he has done nothing.

Obama is, so far, a failure in office. You can deny it because you want everything to be happy, but that doesn't change the validity of my statement.

Not to continue the hijacking of my own thread, but would you say that because George W. Bush did most everything he pledged to do as president, that made him a success in office? Because I wouldn't. Nobody's perfect, and it's not like Obama isn't trying to get things done. Fact is, our government isn't set up in a way where he can just wave a magic wand and make everything always go his way. That's the reason we got out of the situation we were in as colonists and founded this country in the first place.

Is there anyone you do like and admire in the world?

Sounds to me that you dislike everyone.

    Really sad

You have failed to answer anyones questions?

I don't need to prove anything about Obama.

He has a big heart and a greeting hand, that's all I need.

    Where's the love Terp?

Please tell us what makes you happy.

    We would love to know.

You're the one who is delusional and fails to see the world for how it really is. Having a "big heart" is not enough to win a Nobel Peace Prize. And you don't even have proof that he does have a "big heart" other than you want it to be true.

And you forgot Peyton Manning, eejit. I love Peyton Manning.
