    Default It's do or die

Minnesota Twins have 4 games at Detroit starting today
2 back and 7 to play.
The Twinkies must take 3 out of 4 to have a chance at the playoffs.
If they split 2-2, then they have to hope the Tigers lose 2 to the White sox next weekend.
The Twinkies are the hottest team in baseball.
    Let's go Twinkies.
Good time to bet the Twinkies to win the world series at 51-1 odds today.

Even better time to bet the Yankees or Cardinals to win the WS.

it's too bad every time I get money on an online sportsbook, I lose it in blackjack.

Go twins! Since my Mets are somewhere in the basement I need an underdog to cheer for. 51-1 nice odds. Anyone think the Atlanta Braves have a chance to sneak into the wild card?? they are knockin on the door and just about one of the hottest teams of late and I think they play their last 4 games against the only team that seems worse than my NY Mets, the Nationals lol.

TThats a pretty juicy 9-1 if you ask me with the capabilities that team has with ther 5 billion dollar payroll or whatever it is!! Especially with the way they man handled the sox this past weekend.

Unfortunate to have the rain out in yesterdays game, especially with so much riding on these games. My question is I wonder what team if either one todays double header helps out. Makes for a long day as well as there will end up being like a 3-4 hour gap between playing times. Well I'll be cheering for the twinkies and maybe they will be in a tie for 1st after tonight. Without division races like these I dont know if there would be a reason to watch any games this time of year. And watch out for the braves who are now only 2 back of colorado for the wilcard. I wont mention my New York Mets losing to the lowly Nationals

I got to think that the PPD will hurt Minnesota because they were on
such a roll, they didn't have time to think about the big picture.
Now they have had 24 long hours to think about it and that can only hurt them not help.
I predict a low scoring DHer.

Very good point ringo. They have all this momentum going for them and their adrenaline is flowing like crazy then crash no game. Kinda like getting teased with no happy ending lol.

The Twins will win both games of the double-header today. They will be tied with the Tigers come the first pitch tomorrow! They will be 1-game ahead after the game tomorrow.

    Go Twins!

I hope your right NDN. I wouldnt mind seeing the twinkies sweep the series but very tough to do even if you were playing the worse team. So far so good 1-1 in the 5th,thankfully tigers have blown alotta early chances so far to open the game right up.

Twins win with an exciting finish in extra innings!

They are one game back and will be tied with the Tigers after they win later tonight.

They held off that rally in the bottom of the 9th with lead off man on second.
I knew it would be low scoring and for the twins to win the first one is paramont.

Ya most def. got exciting in the end. Tigers had SO many chances in the beginning to absolutely cream the twins but all they could manage was the 1 run. I thought for sure that when the twins suicide squeeze attempt resulted in the double play in the bottom of the 8th that they were done, but excellent comeback by the twinkies. Cant wait til 2nites game! gl!

Well it looks lke last nite did not go as planned for the twnkies...valiant effort in the end though. That solo homer givin up in the end proved to be huge for the tigers. So now back at square 1 being 2 games down they have quite the uphill battle ahead of them, still GL to the tigers. Also the braves losing last night and with the rockies winning the rockies wildcard lead is back to 3. Kinda sad cuz I always love when these races go right down to the very last game. Now I suppose I have to look forward to the Mighty RED SOX SPANKING THE ANGELS like they seem to do every year come playoff time.

Twins are down - But not out!

I predict the Twins win the final two games of the series.

The Twins will clinch it once they win the second game of the three game series against the Royals (Sox will sweep Tigers).

Well unfortunately it seems the playoff race is all but over : ( Both the tigers and rockies have seemed to just about secure playing in October bearing something miraculous...it was a good run in the end for both teams. The twins would need to beat the tigers today and then sweep KC (which would include beating the most probable CY Young winner,Zach Grienke) and then hope the tigers lose 2 of 3 in their series, which would lead to a tie for the division lead. Doesnt sound to likely but ya never know.....

WOOHOO STILL ALIVE! well beating the tigers in the final game of their series put them back to where they started being 2 games back. Best case scenario I guess would be a Twins sweep of KC and detroit losing 2of 3 to chisox this would then lead to an exciting 1 game playoff tuesday in Minnesota due to the twins winning the season heads up advantage (wouldnt be played monday as assumed because the Vikings are hosting MNF in the metrodome).....(and I say best case scenario because I think its only right to have the teams tie with their season records and fight it out using whatever arsenal they have and going ballz out to see who plays in October, would be even more fitting considering all the hit batters and ejected few in todays game).....In poker words "The Twins still have a chip and a chair so anything is possible!"
