Woohoo, I love the sound of your wedding. Wish I was there. Everybody keeps telling me to get corn-row wig and gold grill for my teeth. Marissa wants to be something scary. Maybe we'll take her to the costume store and get scary makeup done and outfit. I really don't like the idea of going door to door for candy. Any other ideas for me? Halloween will consist of myself, Tony & Marissa. I like the idea of staying home and passing out candy, but I don't Marissa would like that very much. I always make sure my kitty is safe on Halloween, she is a tuxedo cat. So many people want to hurt cats during Halloween, especially. Be safe all!
I have a Halloween tradition of making a gross out meal! The kids look forward to it, and I enjoy finding new recipes. Ramen noodles can be tinted red for "brains" or tinted blue/green to look like seaweed and cut hot dogs to look like octopus and place on top of the "seaweed". Add green food color to mac & cheese for slime. Mini hot dogs (or cut up 2" pieces of hot dogs) wrapped in biscuit or bread stick dough and cook in oven. Add pretzel sticks or something similar for legs to make "spiders". For a foamy "blood" drink, I mixed lemon-lime soda (pop), fruit punch, and a couple scoops of sherbert (any flavor works). As for alternatives to door-to-door trick or treating, look for a haunted wagon ride or haunted house. The newspaper will probably be full of alternatives as Halloween gets closer.
We are planning on taking kylee on her first trick or treating. She will be 11 months old, and she will have a blast I think seeing all the wierd looking people and costumes for the first time, or she might freak out and scream bloody murder, we dont know yet lol. We are gonna dress her up as tinker bell or just a plain fairy. If its too cold we will stay home and watch a bunch of scary movies, maybe have a bonfire, and just have a snuggly good time.
well we never really make are plans to the week before. always something to go do but rather wait to commit to one of them til we have all the options so we can choose the best halloween activity to go do. well take the kids out when it gets dark so they can do their thing. as what they will be we dont know yet. they cant make up their mind. i might wraped the 8 year old up in a white sheet and squeeze ketcup on his head and call him a tampon. who knows
I brought my son last year to the mall where all the stores gave out some candy to all the kids. I figured that would be cool instead of going out at night in the cold.
the mall thing is very cool ..... i loved giving out candy but when u have kids u need to take them out.....we went on a haunted hayride one year (after trickor trearting) and had a ball...haunted houses can be too much for little ones so please keep them away from these...
