Thanks GaTech. It would have been easier to just finish in the top 4 to get that coupon but hopefully it will work out. Not sure if I'm going to go for the $109 coupon or play an $11 guaranteed tourney with the money. I'll have to see how my mood is when I sit down to play again.

Nice try. Big difference between $11 satellite and $60. Not to gloat but last week I took first and got the birdie accolade. To bad I didn't cash in the $109 tournament as my straight lost to a flush on the river. Was pretty upset as there were a hundred people left and playing for two hours. Oh well hope that satellite coupon turns into some real cash for you.

Played the satellite to the $109 last night. Got dealt KK pushed on the Q high flop. Other guy flopped a set of 4's and hit quads on the river. Oh well, came close but not close enough.

dang it arsenal ..sorry ...man there is no way to keep this from happening...Ive been here ...hate it as much for u as i do for me...bummer.....there is no insurance from this happening i love the push with over pair in hand from cards in flop...it so rules ...till this happens ....should we play those kind of hands slower ..i don't know ...i just don't see doing that...was the preflop betting high? wonder how high it would have to be to get someone to lay down pocket 4s if it looked like a HU match?...I think it is just one of those ...you can't ever be absolutely sure of your hand ...

I only raised 3x the BB (blinds were 50/100), I was inviting action to the pot. Loved the fact that no Ace showed up like it normally does when I have Kings. I'm guessing even if I bet 5x the BB, the other player would have called. He was chip leader and seemed to be on a pretty big rush. So I didn't play the hand the best I could have but like I said, I wanted the action.

totally get what you did in the paly /..would have played it the same way.....i would too like action ..totally get that....i wasn't critizing in any way ...just noting that I don't think there is any out when those low pairs trip and quad...they are brutal and ...we lay helpless to them.. I feel your pain.
