It's an understandable call if you were playing as loose as you always play.

You have a style of play that involves playing lots of so-so hand and it opens you up to calls from bottom pair. It's not a bad beat, not matter how many threads you make a day claiming them to be bad beats.

There is no sense trying to figure out why someone played a certain hand if you can't ask him why. I've played hands like that because "it's pretty". Stupid? Yes. Have I won hands with it? Yes. Have I been knocked out with it? Yes. If you were playing against me and I told you I played it because it's an awful rag but they were suited with A-high so it looked good, would it make you feel any better about losing to it?

My moneys on them putting you on ak or aq and then callin you down. Thats what i usually tell myself, and it tends to lessen the affect of the bad beat. Also, im betting he took your 1700 bet on the flop (4+ times original raise) as an attempt to buy your way out of not hitting. After he made that wrong assumption, he got lucky, yea. dont know ur style, but if u play loosely thatll happen a lot. I find that if i tighten up my play (for the table image), in that same situation I bet 1/3 or 1/2 my stack (usually a multiple of my initial bet), and ppl would give me credit and fold there. Anyways tough break, but like mark said, gotta get that helmet :-p

I was going to type exactly what Omax just said. I'm guessing that he but you on a strong ace or a flush draw. Since it was a bounty he is going to be more likely to call with bottom pair if he thinks he has a good read on you. As it is, he made a bad play and got lucky. As the board played out there, if you did have AK and only the first 2 hit, he still wins the pot. So I'm not sure it is a donkey play, but more of a bad read and hoping to be ahead of a draw or strong ace. Whatever it is, it sucked, you will have stuff like that happen again in your poker life, acknowledge and move on. Hopefully you'll play against that guy again and he will continue to make poor reads and the percentages will again be in your favor.

well he did get luck and hit on the turn but nav listen to what terp and glo are saying. every game i played with you always limp or call up to 4x bb raise with junk. if i was playin you though i would of folded preflop against you as i know you have high pp with that preflop bet. you over bet your big pp preflop.

given the way you play 80% of the hands you are dealt he probly felt he was best with bottom pair. turns out you had hand and got sucked out on the river. in the end its your own fault for setting yourself up for these type of beats with your style of play.

yup as i looke dat his play was he chipped up over u? probably yes ...and i must also say that if he had been playing you for awhile he may have thought bluff... but what omax and arsenal say is also true...yeah stop whinning over every hand...you are like the little boy that called wolf...

no you always bet big with qq or better. you will call up to 4-5 times the bb with any ace, 2 suited cards or connectors. also when you raise 3 times bb or better and missed the flop. your bet is always 2-3 bb no mater what size the pot is. i got more notes on you but i dont want everyone to know you exactly how you play.

Posting bad beats from a bounty game isnt sensible.

Anyone ever not lost a bounty game to a sick beat? thought not.

And i agree completely with terp. For once. As my GF is hotter

hey navuta lets take this a step behind the bad call here, and lets look at your moves here b/c you cant control what other people are going to do.

mistake one: min raises with blinds at 100 200. make it 600 or 750 pre then snap shove!!! you are inviting ace rag to tag along, even the bb called as well.

mistake two: 900 in the pot on the flop. you snap shove for 1800 (aprox) more. not a smart play here b/c it looks like you are trying to steal. and you will called by rags!!

ok thats all i am saying about this hand, just remeber what you could of have done different b/c you can not control what other poker players will do!!! so you have to learn to avoid donk moves!!!!! gl to you

i agreee with thenutz.....your postflop all in shove was very "fishy"(not as in a bad play, b/c its an overbet and u got the call u want) but b/c it looks liek u had Ak or Aq and missed and are trying to pick up the pot by shoving.....also think about it this way yes it was a bad beat he had 5 outs in the deck so 20% of the flop and 10% on the turn to hit his card......but you want thsi call 100% of the time i will take a 80/20 then 90/10% chance to win the hand all day....so you unlucky and he hit his 20%...its poker...all you can keep doing is keep getting ppl putting their money in behind

and i thought the min raise was a little dumb.....i was watching a movie on full tilt poker academy...and it said they the min raise is the WORST bet in poker...same with the min raise.....if you raise more A2 suited might just dump preflop....better to win small pot then lose big ones

i very much liked the overbet on the flop tho....it made you get max value outa yer hand
