Ok what is the best way to play early in a mtt tournament. do you play tight loose. In other words do you get in alot of hands or do you look for premium hands only and play them strong. Or do you play only premium but even then be very careful. Here is my style
While the blinds are small I see alot of flops suited connectors any ace any two face cards with no raise or a small raise after I limp.
But then I'm very careful unless I really hit something big then I try to destory a couple players who are playing their premium hands. If i don't hit something realy big or a realy big draw i get out immediately. I dont try to bluff or anything like that at that point. Now when the blinds get up a little when chips can be made by just playing the hand 2 or 3 handed I only play real premium hands. I mean extra tight. I want to go from the donkey to the tightest player in the tournament. Then shortly before the bubble after I have established this super tight image I start loosening up not a whole lot but enough that Im seeing hands with marginal cards when i can cheap. but very carefully. then depending on my stack when were right up against the bubble I try to take advantage of the bubble. Of course this depends on if I have a good stack or short stacked or middle stacked. Then once I'm in the money I try to play opposite of what the majority of the table is playing. If its kinda mixed then i play mixed if its a tight table im a little looser if its a crazy table im tight. So that's basicly my style with of course a million different variables added to that like stack position other players images and so on and so forth. But I kinda got out of what I wanted to know is how do you play early in a long tournament?
