Oh wow, that was a read from the crystal ball if i ever seen one. How did you make a play like that?

Bets made no sense in my head.

From a trap point of view it didnt add up.

From a speculative point of view it didnt add up (as in he had low 2 pair or slow played top pair)

I doubted he hit the set on river.

So i figured after checking he only bets huge like this on a complete bluff or missed draw.

So i checked to call him.

Thank god he didnt have AJ!

Very impressive sir. I made a play like that in a heads up sng, but it was for $5 so it didn't really turn out to be so impressive, and I had bottom pair, lol. So it was nothing like that.

yea you won the pot but not really impressed with the calling on the river. 9 out 10 he has better nothing than you. so in my eyes this is not profitable to just flat call here. at least throw in a huge raise and make he pay you with nothing!! now that would be impressive!!!!! anyways nice win

I figured if i check im ahead enough time to call here.

He has a string of missed draws, plus if he bets with nothing on the turn, its unlikely he hit on the river, so im still good if he bluffs again.

Nice read mate. Thats a text-book example of how you make playing poker profitable (illiteration much). ya know the hand values, ya know about position and pot odds and all that; but making plays based SOLELY on your own logical deductions is that next echelon of playing. There are 100's of hands that beat you, you have a bet on the turn, and a decent bet on the river; and against all that, you make the call and are correct. THATS POKER!!
