Don't you think that he is way off base here? That is not cool, nonetheless a very sick perverted thing to say. I find it offensive! I find it rude to Badaace1973 and his daughter. I also think it is rude to NDN and the members of this forum. If it was meant to be funny, it was not! This thread is talking about a 13 year old girl for Christ sake! How old is KingsintheAhole?
Well... But you are just a kid. Who knows maybe he is too? If you don't know any better, you should know it really was not a very nice thing to say. Especially when someone is talking proud about their daughter. I have two daughters. The love I have for them is unexplainable. Do you have a daughter?
I think it is absolutely horrible that a 13 year old is harassed for being a virgin. More and more, children are pushed to grow up quickly, not only by the children around them but also often times by their own parents. I commend you for raising your daughter in a way that she learns to be confident that the choices she's making now will benefit her in the long run, and I hope that her confidence in herself and in God carry her through what will probably be even tougher peer pressure times in high school. I see these little girls all dolled by their parents for these beauty pageants and I'm just appalled that the parents would not only allow their daughters to be showcased in such a grown-up manner, but actually participate in it and encourage it. What message does that give to a young girl? Parents need to stay involved in their children's lives, and be aware of the world they're sending their children out in. If you're the parent of boys, they need to be taught to respect girls; and if you're the parent of girls, they need to be taught to not tolerate not being respected and to be strong and confident in their beliefs. My parents were strict and over-protective and at the time, I resented that I didn't have parents like some of my friends who let them do whatever they wanted. But today, I'm grateful that they kept me on the straight and narrow. Keep up the great work!
