well the table was rowdy and i had to make that move to get those kind of people off the hand and i guess it didnt work. well next time i will try the raise and see what happens.

Sometimes I'll be in a spot like that, decent position, and I'll limp in with a mediocre+ hand, but say, "Okay, it's getting late in the tournament, I need to make move so of someone goes all in, I'm just gonna call..." Maybe that's what the other guy was doing?

Granted, I probably wouldn't use K,2 and I probably wouldn't do it with 6k chips when the bb is only 200, but maybe that's what that guy was thinking?! I mean, I suppose he could have also just thought you were trying to buy the pot... who knows...

Hell, i only call this with AQ+ and JJ+ usually.

The only possible reason I can see for his call is he suspects you are trying to buy the hand with a HUGE overbet. Eejit said it right a few posts ago. Raise to 800 or 1K and see a flop. I can't see him calling a push on the flop with K2 suited and no draw. I'm not a big fan of the push after 2 limpers enter the pot.
