okay well i got staked by lilred to play a $10+1 tourney at FTP. so i am playing doing good too a few beats but nothing major. well there are about 89 players left and i am about 70 position. started with 253. well i finally get a good hand adn im in the SB. well i go all in a dn this is what happens. i cant freaking believe it. this guy didnt evn have alot of chips. why risk your tourney on such a crap hand. i think i got eejits virus.

I am just going to guess here but I think you said it in your statement.I think maybe he was thinking wow im getting low I better make a move soon and when he was dealt k2 suited maybe he felt he should run with it?? figuring he had paint even with sh***Y kicker is better than nothing?? sounds like he was scared and when you guys got farther into the hand he just couldnt let it go?? I am not sure maybe I am way off but sounds like he just went for the roll of the dice and you got a bad beat?? sorry he sucked out on you.

The thing with online poker is that you have NO idea whatsoever what the other players' situations are. Imagine if you will that you're a wealthy man blowing your money at online poker tables, but in the middle of your game, your wife starts nagging you and your kids are screaming and crying, and the phone is ringing and no one will answer it. The guy next to you goes all in preflop and you have 2 suited cards, 1 high 1 rag, wtf why not go all in too? Getting rivered and beaten by bad beats is as much a part of poker as the cards themselves. Sorry you lost that but all you can do is shake it off and wish for better luck to you next time.

well the table was rowdy and i had to make that move to get those kind of people off the hand and i guess it didnt work. well next time i will try the raise and see what happens.

It's a $10 donkament so you will see people call with all sorts of garbage.
Some people have the mentality that if they put money in the pot preflop, they at least have to see the flop, regardless of the fact that their current investment in the pot is very small and they are getting a really bad price to call the shove.
Also, some people cannot bring themselves to fold suited cards or hands that have a king (or ace) in them preflop.

If you were making a move here and just trying to pick up the pot, you'd have to be more concerned with your opponent's tendencies and whether he is likely to call your push. Most people will limp their bad hands but will not risk half their stack on them.

But of course, in this case, you're pretty happy to get called here, you just wish he didn't suck out. Nothing you can do about that.
