    Default poker do's and dont's

Don't play Ak like its pocket AA's

    Do play AAs strong

    Don't slow play them

don't play small pairs in early position

don't raise middle pairs in early position

do raise middle pairs in late position

don't raise small pairs in late position unless short stacked then push other wise limp and call raise and hope for the set

don't call a rereraise with kk

don't call aq reraise ak or qq only kks or aas unless you are sure your playing extremely loose players

do continuation bet after a raise on the flop

don't continue if you miss the flop after a call of your continuation bet slow down and be wary

do check raise a flopped set but don't just call unless rainbow and no threat of flush or straight. As soon as their is a threat of that bet big and make them pay to see another card

don't play stakes that puts to much of your bankroll at risk

don't play mtts that puts more than 1 or 2 percent of your bankroll at risk

don't play heads up for cash because the rake will kill both of you unless one of you knocks the other out quickly

do play double or nothing sitngos to build up a small bankroll

do listen to players with more experience than you

don't listen to those players if your actually playing them at the time LOL

Don't attempt to stil the blinds everytime your on the button

Do still when the time is right and its better to be one spot from the button

Do play tight if the table your at is very loose

Do play a little looser if the table is very tight

Don't play freerolls all the time and try to learn from them because they are very different from real money tournaments and you will learn bad lessons

I hope some of these helps some of you beginners Im sure most of you better players know about these things and you may even disagree on some if you do let me know so i can learn something

These are a few of the ones I disagree with. There is nothing wrong with limping from early position with a small pocket pair. If you can get in cheap, see a flop and hope for the set. If you hit the set, it's a easy hand to keep disguised from others.

There is nothing wrong with raising middle pairs from early position DEPENDING on your table image. If you have a tight image and raise with middle pair, you can continuation bet and sometimes pick up the pot. On top of that if you flop a set and make a "continuation" bet, it will help keep your hand disguised from others. It takes discipline to raise with middle pairs and pitch them if you don't set and feel resistance on the flop.

There only one hand that beats KK and many hands that can reraise preflop from a later position. Alot of that depends on the limits you are playing and the structure of the game, not to mention the size of the reraise. If I bump it to 4x BB and someone comes over the top of me and makes it 8x BB I'm calling everytime. Just because someone reraises you preflop doesn't mean they have AA everytime. Remember if you see an A on the flop and feel resistance, let the hand go and move on.

Mind you that most of my experience is in cash games. Not all of my advise applies to tournament play, but can certainly be used there.

I am gonna have to give some of these suggestions some thoughts and get back with you on them, but for starters I would reraise a reraise with KK. If I am gonna lose a hand I would prefer to do it with a respectable hand like KK. However If i didnt get put allin preflop, and made it to the flop with chips remaining, I would be wary of a ace landing. I agree with most of the advice, but everyone has their own way of playing, and any two can win, so I wouldnt try to set any in stone principles in poker, as the situations and the players you play is always changing and evolving.

I agree with you after hearing your argument. See I learned something As far as the kks I meant to say a raise ahead of you then a reraise ahead of you then you call and the first raiser rereraises but that depends on his stack size but if he has a large one then he probably has aces if he's not a donkey. LOL but good advice thanks
