    Default Story Of My Life

After a few days in a row with some decent tournament wins I thought my luck had finally changed.

However, after hands like these, I have fallen back into my usual routine. I've gone deep in 4-6 tournaments today alone only to run into these hands and it's killing me!

    Hand#19755E0CC6002896 - Tournament Table 3 T6163654 -- Table 3 -- $120/$600/$1,200 NL Hold'em -- 2009/09/01 - 00:30:22

    Seat 7: REX***7 ($27,845 in chips)

muyw***6: wins 30,396 with Three of a Kind, Eights

I don't fault the play or anything and the beat in itself isn't that bad. But I ALWAYS get beat in these situations LATE in the game. I feel as though if I win these hands - I win the tournaments. Instead, I waste hours playing flawless poker only to run into these beats!

Anyhow, I am in the money in this game and I am nearing the money in the other 10k on the Cake Network.

So if anyone wants to rail - feel free! I'm nearly out of the bounty now due to the above hand, but I'll still try to take both tournaments down!

And in case anyone was wondering (*Cough*Terpzone*Cough*) Bryan Adams & Journey guided me this deep in the games.

Heart (don't ask) is going to get me further!

Dude, Heart is some great music. I've been jamming to The Cure and Elton John tonight during my games. Just put Heart-These Dreams on just for you though. I seem to have lost the rest of my Heart though... lost about 1/3rd of my 21,000 songs on iTunes during my last HDD crash.

I'm on my way to rail right now. Been playing some damn good poker myself tonight.

Also, in that hand history you posted...there seems to be one person who I'd probably get along with very well! Guess who!

19/20 in the 10k Bounty (little bit of time left).

7/44 in the standard 10k (lots of time left).

You should have never invited railers.

I just made that place my private chat room.

19/20 was the best I could muster in the bounty. Simply ran out of time. I'm happy with the game though. I played well. Took one beat (the AA vs. 8 and needed that one to get any deeper.

Still alive and well in the other game/chat room.

He just happens to be making the trip to Cal this weekend for the Terps game to open the season! I'm making the trip to MD the week after for the opening home game!

    I'm noticing a pattern!

Stumble upon Reefer Poker by some sheer happenstance (first time I've ever typed that word) and I do well in a tournament.

Stumble upon Power Poker (Cake Network) by some sheer happenstance (second time I've ever typed that word) and I do ok in my first two tournaments.

At this rate, I will be playing on every Cake skin, Merge skin, and every other software out there! I can never play on the same site twice though!

Here is my tip for instant improvement to your poker game:

Start your user name with Mr. (MRWOOHOOSUE for example).

I have Mr (or a variation of it) on three different sites and for some odd reason it always seems to command more respect.

Is this a commentary on the state of the world, Mr. NDN?

Yes mam. You tag Mr. onto any name and you instantly have the ability to go places you've never been before!

No offenses to the Ms. & Mrs. out there. I have yet to test that version of my theory.

my bad ndn... I was typing out an "i can't stay awake any longer, gl and good night" message and couldn't send it cuz you went all in and then lost. :(

Damn good cash though. 3 more places and I would have gotten an autographed driver out of it!

Good game though. Good night to you and glo. I'm exhaused!

    I'll settle for fourth.

I picked the wrong time to start making a move. In retrospect, I have no idea why I didn't go aggressive a lot sooner.

Thanks for the rails guys - I appreciate it. I went quiet because I was too tired to keep up!

I apologize for how boring that must have been. That was the longest 5-way match I've seen on a final table in a long time.

I have only myself to blame for not taking advantage of how passive the players were (besides Dabears). I assumed that I had more time and could pick my spots a little better since we had a table full of passive players (myself included sadly).

Unfortunately those guys survived too many all-ins and I just couldn't bring myself to go aggressive.

Such a shame. I should have taken that one down for us!
