well sassy thats a part of growing. well thats how i see it. i will tell u this it will good when u are able to relax from the fruits of your labor. just cope with it and it will all work out.
Do what i do.
Find a job that pays well. Do it no matter what. Then find something else u love outside of it and do that.
Simples!
Look for two years I worked 7 days a week, 85 hours a week.I didn't like it but it did pay the bills and give me some time to chill when we were done.I look at it like this, after I turn 65 if I am lucky I will have 10 to 15 years to do whatever I want,I know u will be to old.NOT nessasarly, but you gotta do whats best for you.I am only working 40 hours a week now but we should be getting about 60 for the amount of work we do.Some peeps don't have a job,so I would just hang in there.Hope it gets better!
Simples! Lol
Thank you all for giving me your thoughts. I really appreciate you all caring about me. This just goes to show how much people really care on here and can help other members when needed.
I try and enjoy the simple things in life like the yoga. I guess I need to take more action on things that I like to do to make me a better person and more well rounded. I do enjoy this forum and especially after knowing that many of you all care and are willing to share advice. I really pay attention to this. I know that life is the experience and the person is responsible for making their own life and experience which will lead to be unhappy or fulfilled, it’s just the work load that I have been taking on. And not to mention my ex boyfriend who really messed with my head and how I feel about life, trust, friends, etc… venting on here with responses based on care really help me get through all of this though.
“Time is precious” – I really like that because I realized that it is true. Everyone is only given one life to live and they can make whatever they want from it. Which is beautiful, but I feel selfish acting in such a way. It’s a really weird spot to be in for me.
At this time I only have guy friends, well mainly girl friends that are helpful and understanding. I have been extremely hesitant with guys ever since my ex and if the guy comes along than great. But Phil said to wait for him and you will run into him, don’t go looking for him. Which is really true and I’ve been thinking about that a lot.
Regret is something that I’m definitely not trying to get involved in. I feel selfish enough feeling this way with a job and some security. So I’m not going to do anything drastic. I do love to play poker but I need a bankroll or someone to stake me and help me grow in the game. I don’t think I’m one of those people (if they exists) that just goes and plays without gaining knowledge or support. Both financially and mentally I guess…
Phil, just make sure you take care of her. I know you will and I know that you are a great guy so I hope everything goes well with her. Relationships are very important but one really hurt me you know.. So make it the best!
“So enjoy your time off, go out, drink underage or whatever it is you kids do ” – Too funny
I guess I am receiving the fruits of labor.. The money really… lol. But I hate growing up. This sucks. What happened to being a kid?!? Lol grr
I think I might get a dog or something to make me happy when I get home. I need to work and have little time for much else. I do have a week off so I will be active on here and make sure that I can get in the BAP and help out the bankroll. This is fun to me and has helped me with poker which is another thing that I really enjoy as well.
Other than that, I think that I’m just going to get more involved in Yoga to relieve the stress and maybe help out in the community. Most of my girl friends are nice and supportive but they can be complete 2 faces at times and sometimes when I tell them what I’m going through, they use it against me.. Doesn’t look like that here..
I think relaxation and finding other things will do the most for me. Playing poker is another thing but Yoga and talking on here really helps me out. So thanks everyone, I wish you knew how much it means to me.
Ill get you to 5 shares.
6 actually.
And ill add you to the list on sunday when its allowed.
Also - im sure they have figuredout i am the Phil you are talking about.
My advice when i am actually giving serious stuff is good usually.
Just do what makes u happy.
Oh yeah, this shud explain simples....
TLDR.
While you're complaining about too much work, I'm complaining about not having a job.
I hate life. :(
I would consider what i did in the past.
I use to work for a large electronic retailer doing car stereo installation. This should be obvious to those who pay attention, however, they went bankrupt and liquidated their assets. However, when this company was in business, I had a budget of about, well average, $325 a day. Meaning I had to install $325 of pure labor a day, not including whatever product was sold to them. Putting in a stereo was $35-50, amp/sub $59.99-75.00, remote start/security $125-300+. So basically by the time the day was half over, i would have already met my budget.
This is where it gets fun. Once i had legitimate customers to meet my budget (which also gave me a bonus), I would find the right "type" of customer to pay me on the side to do work to their vehicles. This "type" is hard to explain, people that swear a lot, people that continously ask for a deal, people that where certain clothes, people that deal drugs, people that seem like they should have exceptions, etc. You have to know who's willing to pay you cash. This "type" of person would come into my work, and ask for a radio to install. Ok, no problem. If they bring in their own radio, the charge through the store was $50. So, given that i know the "type" of person to ask, i would say, "hey, the store will charge you $50, but i can do it with the same quality of work for $35, full warranty on labor, just come see me if something should happen." I would walk out of work with $200-600 a day, on top of my wage and bonus.
Moral of the story, if you are thinking about leaving your job. Give your phone number to the people that you honestly enjoy cutting there hair, the people that tip exceptionally. See if you can find proper equipment to do perms and what not. I know nothing about hair. But i now perms aren't exactly cheap. Those people will tell other people about you, then those people tell others.
Once i was laid off from my job i had 4 phone calls a day, easy $200 a day. But in that business you need insurance to cover your ***. Its easy to cause thousands of dollars in damage in new cars with advanced electrical systems.
But if your good at what you do, you could do hair cuts on the side while searching for a new job. Think about the hair cuts you do in one day. Think about all the money you make them, but it going into your pocket instead.
Just my 2 cents. What i did was shady, but if your smart, consider it a trade skill, you should be compensated.
Circuit City. well what did i win for guessing it.
