Well a bittersweet weekend for me.

ok well this weekend was a tough one for me. on saturday morning me and my buddies went out on a motorcycle ride to commemorate my good friend joes 3rd anniversary passing. he had passed at the young age of 24 and he had a 2 year old daughter at the time. and me being a dad i was saddened for the fact that she would never get to know her dad. still sad to this day. u know its kinda wierd how u really miss someone when thy are gone. i do miss him. rest in piece my friend u are missed and your daughter is taken care of. well that was a start to a good saturday. as for later in the day we celebrated my wifes bday. i had suprised her with it. took me 3 weeks to get evrything together and it went off with out a hitch. now that was amazing that i pulled this one off. u see i am not that kind of persn that can plan a suprise and keep my mouth shut about it. u know it was tough due to her wanting to do this and that on her bday and me telling her nah lets just go to dinner with friends and have a quiet night. well she wasnt a big fan of that and was getting discouraged that she was gnna have a boring bday. boy was she wrong. lol well we had like like 50 people there with kids and all. it was fantastic. i bbq'd chicken, pork tenderloin, and some carne asada. then the rest of the food was pot luck style. which totally saved me. because i would have struggled to make everything. we had lots of beers and wine for everyone. it was great. party started at 3pm and the last person left at like 11pm. so it was a long day for me in all. but like i said it was bittersweet. well time to get back to poker because i didnt play one hand this weekend nor did i even open a pokersite. lol i would like to say good luck to all of us on the bap. have a nice week all.

Wow GloBug sorry I am just reading this but I am reading it nonetheless.
What a sweet guy you are. To both your friend and to your wife. That was a bitter sweet story. Bitter sweet is one of my favorite oxy-morons. And a perfect way to express your weekend. Thanks for sharing.
