Eejit's Trip Report!

So, as everyone has been asking, i figured id post something about my exploits, though they arent really exciting.

Saturday - Decided to go down a bit early to spend a night with my family and whatever. 3 hour train journey later, and we are in sunny Colwyn Bay. Colwyn Bay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . Simple night, watched a movie, had an indian takeout, played a couple of PS2 games with my 15 year old brother (who is now 6 foot 1!!!) and went to sleep. Saw Charlie the dog too. He got a bit mad and went Snuts. He missed me i guess.

Sunday - Had a lie in for a change. Getting up at 7am for work was killing me. Woke up with a dog on my *** so that was a sweaty early morning. Went shopping with my mum. Bought some DVD's for the week, "Runaway Jury" (awesome), "A Few Good Men" (seen it b4 but awesome), "Smokin Aces"(The best random action film ever). Got some food in, cleaned the house a bit for my mum as she had a bad elbow, and got in touch with my boss for the week (Stuart, for those of you who are my facebook friends). Found out i was needed on Monday.

Monday - Had a midday start, so obviously turned up at 11:30 just for fun. Sat and had a chat. They arent my bosses really, more friends who were my boss. They are also both ***, and hold the first ever *** marriage in Wales. Fun stuff. So sat down and had a smoke, chatted about.... god knows what. Then Tony said we were just gonna do some set up stuff. So we got cracking and moved about 20 x 22 gallon barrels al over the place, built a bartop, shifted a fridge, lots of manual things.

There is a huge marquee we have built to host the VIP's for the week. And i was in charge of that. From stock, to bar tabs, cash, hours, everything. Plus i had some staff to boss about, though im a nice guy so i just let them do whatever as long as they did stuff i asked when i asked for it. Lots of breaks. People love Phil! Though i can be a dick.

Then all of a sudden this stunning girl walks over and asks what i needed doing. I was like....... omg! Then i find out its someones sister (sigh) and she is 17..... again, wtf?!?!?!?!

So after deciding to stop staring at her ***, i turn round and see an even stunninger (if thats a word) girl. I then find out this is the groundsman's granddaughter. And she is.......... FIFTEEN. DEar god. Im going to prison for staring at beautiful, hot, much too young women.

Finished after a few hours, went home, bought me and my bro some pizza. Slept!

Also, completed "Crash Bandicoot - The Wrath Of Cortex" for my bro. As i f***ing own that game.


Tuesday - Same as monday! More set up.

Wednesday - Show time! Had to be there at 9:30, as we cant leave all the stock in the marquee over night. Got there, moved stock wearing some funky shorts, then got all suited up and went off to get some VIPs drunk. We had 55 people booked in to appear, and only 32 showed up! Was a bit odd, but an entire party who had paid already were a no-show. Didnt make much sense but meant i had less to do, so i was fine for that.

On wednesdays for this cricket, the marquee is populated by a couple of small parties, and then 35+ people/managers/guests, from the bank HSBC. Awesomely, my Dad works for HSBC as area manager for something or other. So, long story short, he can make sure to get people to put their hands in their pockets for some tips Seeing as how people in free events never tip over here, it makes a nice change. Went home with $30 ish extra, so not too bad.

Got to watch a lot of cicket that day, and also the staff get to have lunch in the players suite. Keeps things seperate. Therefore i got to eat with a couple of world famous cricketers.

So after basically spending the day chatting to people and serving a few beers, i got bought 10 pints of lager, so spent some of the night giving them away and buying some for me

Thursday - WOW. Busy. We had people from a brewery in. And they can drink! Cricket was going well as our team were in a great position. 20 people came with the brewery, and they ran up a £1,000 bar tab in 6 hours. (They actually ran up £800, but some were for me, and some i added on for stock reasons)

Another night of free drinks. And on this night i got drunk and kissed the 17 year old sister of the boss. Oops! Then again, im single, so why not?

Friday - Another busy one. Beautiful weather all week. More work, more free drinks, however that night they asked me to do the ight shift in the club bar for members, so i ended up working 9am - 1am. Long shift but was fun.

Saturday - No VIPs on saturday, as we cant guarantee there was going to be a 4th day of the cricket game, as they can finish earlier than expected. So another set up day. After a couple of hours we were done, so i phoned m best friend up (Will) and said we should go out for some drinks.

We did!

Went into colwyn bay, but it was utterly dead. He also gave me the awesome news that his sister, Lucy, (Who i have been in love with since i was 12) was going to come out.

Long story with Lucy. She knows i like her, alot. I know she likes me, a bit. She wont do anything because i am her brothers best friend. Which sucks. But it doesnt stop me trying I always get so close it might happen, then it just doesnt. Her eyes say she wants to, but i can take it any more!!! Its like heaven... but locked:(

Was a great night. Got very drunk. Ate pizza somehow, not sure i know where i got it from. Woke up with a carefully placed bin by my face incase i was sick. I am so sensible!!

Vodka shots RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Sunday - Big day of cricket. The one day match. Popular game. At this event we had a world famous cricketer.....

I met him when i was on my lunch break, and he was an utter DICK. I spoke to him for like 20 seconds, and he nods his head and walks away. I didnt ask him for anything, aside from the get the hell out of my way, and he just looked blank and evasive. I hate people that cant be polite. Im there to work so he can get paid more effectively. Asshole.

Cricket was awesome, tho i didnt get to watch much. Was a very close game, we lost by 3 runs in the end:( Which is like losing by 0.1 runs in MLB, it was THAT close.

Lots of VIPs, all paying cash as sundays we need to keep better track of. I ended up with $175 in tips, tyvm, and a job offer lol.

Also, after this we had staff drinks all night, and my Dad came down for their weekly cash game of poker.

$1/$2 blinds, cash game, with a max bet of $6. It makes no sense to me but its what they do. Pots can get huge as they are all just fish. So i played a few loose hands, but bet the max all the way with the strong ones, and often got sucked out on but still left about $50 up. Good times.

After this i had some random girl kissing me, who i didnt know but she was hot!

Then it was time to say goodbyes to the bosses, was quite emotional really, they love me as i work hard, i love them as they treat me like a friend/equal, and pay me well for what i did.

So i left in a slight drunken state, walked FIVE miles to get a pizza, as i forgot my phone charger and couldnt ring for a taxi. Got one home though.


Monday - Tuesday - Just did a bit of shopping and spent time with my brother and mum. Got a bit closer to them both in a family sense so that was nice.



My brother actually came to work for me all week. I needed someone to basically be my skivvy, and run dirty glasses and stuff to be wwashed, get ice, more stock, that kind of thing. He did a great job and i managed to get him paid quite well for it too, so thanks to him!!




Overall it was a fun time. The only regret i have is not having that job as a full time thing, as its impossible, and also not having Lucy

Oh yeah - My brother gave me an Ipod shuffle!!! As he has a sony MP3 thingy now. Sweet!

Welcome back!!! We missed you. I like the way you added to the tab for "stock reasons", I used to do that. Sounds like we would be a good bartending team! It's a shame you were close to three girls and all you got was a kiss. Oh well, somethings better than nothing! No really, it sounds like you covered everything, time with the family, making money, managing your business and going out all at the same time. You are a great multi-tasker and thats why we love you so much here at NDN. You definitely add color to the site, glad to have you back and looking forward to some of your stories. I know theres more!

well it looks like u had fun. i would have to say it was a well needed thing for u to rejuvenate yourself. wow u did alot of things. the things u can do when u are single. lol well thanks for the update and you definetly were missed. especially after ndns bombshell about the ndn store. i am still suprised that there wasnt much a fight about it. well if u have noticed to that there isnt as many users posting like before the news. well for all of us who stayed cheers to u all. lol well glad u made it back in one piece.

Pokerkitty I have worked as a emergency medical tech. on an ambulance and in the hospital. But I have not worked as a nurse. I have taken care of people on a personal basis but I am still in school for nursing. I am working towards my RN Just to let you know. I wonder if I will ever get there. And you are very welcome.

I was so hoping that your excursion would have made it impossible for u to keep up with your fantasy baseball team ....but NO! dam it!
