Default Possible cheaters at UltimateBet and Absolute Poker

I was browsing the internets and found this, of course only 12 hours after depositing at UltimateBet.

I recognize that it's 12-18 months old, and not technically "proved," but I found this to be fairly substantial evidence of cheaters at UltimateBet and Absolute Poker from a reliable source.

It's a long read, but I recommend it for anyone who has money at, or plans on depositing at, one of these sites.

Whether or not these players are still around is unknown to me, but it definitely makes you think.

Check out the Youtube video of a simulated $1000 buyin game from the hand history of one of the disputed players:

I'm not saying these sites are definitely involved, I doubt low limits are effected much, and hell, I've even got money myself in UB, but just be careful.

I will continue tyo state that you are foolish to continue playing at these sites with your own money.

Ill play forum games and whatever if we ever have any. But to be honest a site abusing trust in this fashion cannot be trusted

These two poker rooms have had that reputation for a long time now. I'm still weary of playing there. If it happened once it can happen again. It's hard to trust any online gaming site. We love it though and we're addicted, so we keep playing!

In octoberof 2007 I won a bad beat jackpot for 67k and some change. Then in the month of september that same year i won another 17k sitting at a tabl that got the bad beat, before they had it set up to where it was split between everybody at the same table type, stakes.

So thats 84k in the span of 3 months right? Well i took 45k out over the course of october through january of 2008. I played alot poker in the higher stakes cash tables such as the $5/$10 and the $10/$20 tables, as well as a decent amount of time at the $2/$4 no limit. I won quite a bit at tournaments and a few times at the cash tables, but it seems like no matter what i did i eventually couldnt have a winning session.

This is my states at another site, playing the same game i always play:

Username Games Played Av. Profit Av. Stake Av. ROI Total Profit Form Ability /100 Network Filter
    Blacklight 177 $1 $4 95% $249 - 71 Cake x

Over the course of those months from october 08 to january of 08, i lost around 30k in money, playing the exact same way i always play, just at higher stakes. Now during this same time period all these allegations of cheating scandels are taking place, but at the time i didnt know about it.

Well, once i started getting into the forum world and checking out news of poker, i came across this information about UB and AP and decided to check into my hand histories as well, knowing full well that i had always thought something fishy had been going on. I was one of the observers of the potripper incident, and got $500 in ccompensation for the leak of confidential informations and my ip adress and my user name which is lafate27 at AP. complete BS for compensation right? yup.

So i requested my hand history from AP everything i have ever played from the time i joined which they refuse to give me, knowing full well that i was cheated i guess, and that if i had help from others reviewing my hand history they would see that i got cheated out of thousands of dollars, all the while my information is in the hands of these cheaters right? I remember some names of people that i remember that i believed cheated me even today, A few which have gone on to be big name players at AP/UB such as southcjay and z8eldred, as well as a few others such as manuteboljr and eehore that blue donkey b@#$h. Most of these guys have dissapeared, either by changing their names, or just by deciding that the heat was too high during the cheating outbreaks, but a few are still around. I have repeatedly asked AP to investigate my allegations, and kanawake gaming commission, both give me the run around. I need help in this matter, but dont really know where to turn, and have put it on the back shelfs, hoping one day that AP or kanawake will fess up, and step up and do thier customers right. If anyone out there can derict me to someone that can be of assistance please let me know.

    Semi related note:

My recent deposit at UltimateBet has just cost me $15 more than it should have.

They reported it as a cash advance and I have been charged by my bank accordingly.

I really wouldnt trust these guys man, they got some great cash table games with the bad beat and all but pay very close attention to everything and every player you play and a the end of the day request your hand history, you dont want to mess up and wait till its too late like me, and thats if they even give it to ya. I still play there, but my out of pocket money doesnt go to the cereus netwoks any more. Good luck Terp

I emailed them about the finance charge and the cash advance, and now I'm getting the run around and they're asking for copies of my statements.

    What a bunch of wankers.

I made a big stink to them and UltimateBet has agreed to cover the charges from my bank as a one time courtesy with proof via bank statement.

Lesson learned: Deposit using eChecks from now on. (I just did this for the first time today at PokerStars and was surprised at how quick and easy it went through.)

And avoid UB like the plague.

I will be withdrawing my money from UB as soon as they reimburse me for the finance charges.

i still remember when i first read about the cheating at absolute poker that they will be paying all the players involved (that got cheated) , maybe thats why they wont give you the information you were asking from them cause they will have to pay you after you will discover that you were cheated.i stopped playing at absolute when i first heard about the cheating there and only play there when they give me free $10 which they did early this month and i got it upto $50 and after losing i immediately uninstalled the software.maybe you should not stop asking them for the info you wanted cause you might still get some of your money back.

I still play at AP semi-regularly and don't seem to have any problems. Of course, I also don't go any higher than the $.50/$1 games when I play and spend most of my time at the $.25/$.50 tables. I know Mr307 has had a ton of success playing the same limits. He's been able to cash out a considerable amount of money in the last few months. So maybe just stick to the lower limits and stay away from the higher stuff.

I just lost my entire balance in Blackjack on UB.

I swear that crap is rigged once you up your bets.

Thank god Stars doesn't have a blackjack feature. That crap will be the death of me.

I've contacted support at Carbon, Poker Nordica, and Absolute and had them block blackjack from my account. I lost way too many bankrolls doing exactly what you did. I definitely recommend it.

You have no idea how many times I've upped my bankroll a few hundred on Sportsbook just to give it all back in Blackjack.

I'm talking 2-3 times a month. Fortunately my credit card blocks transactions to them now!

I'm not going to play poker anywhere other than PokerStars now. No BJ in sight.

The thing that pisses me off though is that I wound up paying the cash advance fee on my deposit at UB because they had reimbursed me into my account.

Well at least I know I'm not the only idiot that has done this. Although the heads up SNG's can be just as devastating to a bankroll. I've tilted quite a bit away trying to win a bad beat back all at once. One of these days I'll realize that every session of poker can't always be a winning one.

Default yep it happens in poker a lot

there's no way in heck that one dude would have called with J9 with no pairs no draw lol. The dude with the flush draw should have won and the J9 player should have folded.

Yeah u r right that player was cheated on AB cuzzz nobody in their right
mind would have called that all in. Very suspicious indeeeeeeeeed.

i can understand at low stakes but not high just too much money to be gambling with entirely.......... good luck advocating and letting people know

Over time and time again I read alot articles regarding the cheating at absolute and ultimate bet poker. What surprises me is that people still go there and play. And what is more SHOCKING to me is the badbeat jackpot there. It is the fastest growing on the internet and most hit.
I tried to play it a few times but no luck. A few months ago I read same person hit the badbeat jackpot twice, either back to back or within a month or two. I wish I had that luck.

BAD BEAT JACKPOTs are rigged they are fixed in how why cuzz how else would they know when u hit the jackpot lol. Hitting a jackpot of a poker
hand four of a kind beaten by a royal flush is manufacture i think the winner
is of choice not of chance.

ROYAL KNIGHT if you want to hit the jackpot just like that one dude. Then i suggest you do waht he did. I'm pretty sure of what he did. He had 6 or 9 of his friends play with him. Now since all of them are friends at the poker table they share a bankroll. Nobody really loses to each other everything can be check raise betted whenever needed. Since they are not playing each other they are actually paying or putting money basically into to a slot machine hoping to hit that one particular hand. Slots is the game about this
bad beat jackpot. To say they played poker played everyhand soooner or later they will go broke. Be smart invite friends to play and check it down if u want to hit this so called jackpot. You want lose money to each other but u'll just buy into that hitting that jackpot lol
