well i hope your buddy is alright while he is in jail. i say if u are gonna to jail and talk to him dont talk about what happened because that can be used in court. and u are smart to only talk to his lawyer but after that u will have to talk to the cops so they can check to see if what u said to his lawyer matches with what u are gonna tell him. the fact that he tried to steal ur buddies truck i think is still cause for a murder charge. ill be honest i dont think your buddy is gonna get off. there was no threat to him in away that would warrent him shooting him. worst case scenario would be 2nd degree murder and best case would be manslaughter. i would hope for his sake it would be the later. man he made a wrong chioce to shoot him. now if he tried to run over your buddy then that would have warrented it. but u gotta think that he knew who it was and he should have let it go and then report it to the police. it sounds like he didnt have a phone so it might have been hard to report it but he was able to report the shooting. wow i got mixed feelings about this. i dont think it is worth losing life over a stolen truck. from what u say they have a past and maybe it all boiled over that day. do you think money or anything else had to do with it? he is in a battle for his life and i dont think it will swing his way unless they get him on manslaughter charges and if it does take 2 years hope they give him time served and maybe he will get out after the trial. well ringo if u do talk to brazil tell him i said i will be hoping things work out for him. take it easy bud and dont dwell on what he did. it is tough to see a friend go thru this but u have your daughter to worry about now. keep your head up and use tiger balm for the aching muscles. it always works for me. stress is only what u make of it remember that.

oh by the way i dont hink his truck being stolen is good enough to kill. just caught where i said it was ok. oops.

Things are good at home. School started this week and all good and positive.
My friend shot a sheep herder that was trying to steal his truck.
In California, go to jail.
Many other states, like Nevada, you are in the right to shoot someone on your property.
In California, they have to enter your home.

Emotionally, we are though this and have excepted it. Took a week for the shock to where off.

This is great news Ringo! I am so glad to hear that your family is doing well in recovering from all of the misfortune. You are a good man I knew things would be fine. It is just tough sometimes though, as it seems that good men get tested and worked out so they stay strong. It goes without saying to be strong you have to work out to learn patients you have to be tried etc. Seems so unfair on one hand and on the other it makes sense. After all if we did not know bad times, how then could we know and appreciate good times?

Omg.. Only now I readed your first post about your 2 problems.
Now I know why u have being kind of away from the forum. U have lots of problem energy to solve.
Im very sad about what has happend to the brasilian guy. I think That all should have being a big huge mistake. He should never thought about shooting nobody I think. Iven if someone enters your propety I think is wrong shoting first asking after. Anyway. I hope He gets a good lawyer, and a small charge only. About your daugther I think she needs to grow up. Needs to understand life is much harder and better than self mutilation. I mean, I know u are a very intelligent father to show how much u love her, and how much is important to care about the people we live with.
I hope everything is turning out well.
Im sad U really need to sell your property, your cabin. I think would be great for u if u did not needed to sell this. Is always good to have a place to rest. But anyway, U must understand what life has to offer to you.

I'm glad things are looking up for you Ringo. I feel like Klinkman and I had a black Tuesday of our own last week, and the repercussions are still rippling. But it's getting better and we can see the hands of the God we believe in so much working in all of this. Somehow. I'm glad we all have this support system, that's all there is to it.
