Depends on what you plan on doing. If you're going for only gambling, I much prefer Atlantic City. Vegas has too much to do beyond gambling and, in most cases, higher limits. It's also too hot there. :p

Harrah's has the best poker room in AC, imo, but it's also pretty small. Last time I've seen it was only to eat at the McCormick and Schmick's next door, but I remember playing in it once and it was only 10-15 tables iirc.

If you plan on making a trip out of it instead of just gambling, I definitely recommend the Tropicana instead (or Ballys/Caesars if you want a Harrah's owned resort for comp purposes) because it's on the boardwalk/beach and offers much more to do and more places to eat. Trop actually has a very nice interior, much akin to the places in Vegas, with shops and stores to walk around, as well as, like I said, access to the boardwalk and most of the other hotels. Harrahs on the other hand, is out in the middle of a lagoon with nothing near it other than the Borgata (borg and harrah's are definitely the nicest hotels in AC, though) and so no access to the beach/boardwalk or other hotels. The Borgata and Harrah's also have, on average, higher table limits than the beachfront hotels.

My favorite hotel in AC is probably Harrah's, though I usually prefer to stay at Caesar's or Bally's and spend time in Tropicana because of the locations of the latter. Fortunately for me, I live only about 1:45 away and can go for the day.

I'ld have to agree with terp here..ive never been to atlantic city ..so all i can speak of is vegas....vegas is eye candy ..lights and sounds ...its a vacation of a life time ..you wont be able to see it all...you can't its that huge! I like the downtown area ...about 6 casinos on one streeet and nightly light shows ..its very lively but old rooms that dont matter cuz u just use them for sleep and showering and to change so you can get back to it....VEGAS how much do i love thee.... let me count the ways ....

Im looking forward to visiting AC someday ..also Niagra Falls ...i love water falls and haven't seen this one.....

kingsnthehole .. have a good time ....I hope you find the experience to be a blast ...my first time live ..i went to pick up the corner of my cards like the pros ..took me a minute and then when i got them lifted they were the wrong corners.... im lame i know.... in this 45 man tourney i came in on the bubble paid 5 ... i had a blast ....i was doing so good I thot i was gonna cash ..... did I say I was lame.. have a great time!

For someone who is used to Vegas, AC isn't worth more than a car trip. I wouldn't fly out here unless a trip to NYC was also planned. AC doesn't have enough to offer beyond gambling to be worth a long trip, imo, and Vegas has the same although you'll need more money in Vegas for sure.

AC does have a beach though, which is nice.

As much as I love AC and go all the time, it really is a craphole if you go two blocks in the wrong direction. Although I suppose LV is the same way.

I'm going to AC on Thursday for the day

Wow.. nice I wish I had all this opportunity..
Brasil sucks for sure. We onlu have BINGO alowed..(if it was like NDN ones I would go) lol.. ANyway.. iven than our president prohibit most of the BINGOS anyway. I think they should legalize gambling here, would bring a huge amount o taxes to the state.
    LEGALIZE IT!....
    YES!!!!
I think Im going to Las Vegas in 3 years from now....
    I keep playing great poker...
