Holy that is just plain crazy. 40 footers??? Better keep your small kiddos on a lease too. I just dont see what they are trying to accomplish with this, dont these snakes have some decent value when sold in pet stores? I would gather up these bad boys and just sell em, to people who want snakes around, but out in the wild? Those biggers snakes are gonna do something to someone one day, and then they are gonna be scrambling to find the killer snake, just like in the movies or something

That's how they got in the wild.
Pet owners can't handle the python.
I say $100 bounty per snake.
Rednecks from Oklahoma and Texas and Arkansas will be there in the morning.

OMG!!! Just last week a pet python got out of its cage and killed a little baby girl. They held the top of the cage down with only a quilt and in the middle of the night, the snake got out and climbed into the baby's crib. The next morning the man got up and found the snake wrapped around the little girl, she had be suffacated and had bite marks on her head. The snake tried to eat her. The man actually had to stab the snake to make it let go, but by then it was way to late. Police are trying to decide on what kind of charges to bring against him. You're right, these snakes just need to be killed, period.

Well if they were native to the area it would be another thing. This is also throwing off natures balance in the Everglades.Did anyone see the snake that tried to eat the gator,it busted open trying to swallow it,what if that had been a grownup? The guy that let the snake kill his kid, should be treated just as if he had let the kid get a gun.I mean obviously he knew the snake could harm the child right?

I did see the photo of the snake trying to eat the gator. It was gross! Snakes do not belong in the house, especially around me or children! I'm sure the guy will be in big trouble. He has lost his child, he probably doesn't even care.

That is just awful! OMG I can't even imagine having a snake as a pet. Don't people know that they crawl on their belly for a reason. There is a reason that snakes do not have legs. And they slither! It makes me sick. Plus they scare me to death. I could not imagine waking up to find my baby girl dead because my pet snake killed her.

People should just not keep snakes as pets, they are way too dangerous. Did you see the news story I am talking about? It happened somewhere in Florida.
