Default pot committed or just plain donkey

played a game last night and was at final table with over 5k in chips and 6 ppl left game payed 3
guy with a chip stack close to mine in size raised pre-flop to 1300 i called with pkt nines .flop came 7-10-k he checked and i bet 2400.he then raised allin;i thought **** he check raised me he caught the king and i am toast.then i said ah the hell with it and shoved my remaining 2 k in knowing i was behind.
sure enough he had ace king .then i caught 8 on the turn and jack on the river .
well i sure felt like a donkey.
went on to take first for 34 bucks and forgot how bad i felt for the other guy.
i was tired at the time and wouldnt have cared that much if i was busted out.but i still felt bad for a donk call and a suckout on the river

You cant feel sorry for that guy you took out. Its poker. But just think how many times has someone sucked out on you? Its time for you to finally get some pay back by sucking out on someone else.

6 handed so i guess i like the call preflop but i check the flop as if he raised half his stack he also is pot committing himself. but after the turn who knows what he does and the with that i guess you must call with the opened st8. so ither way i dont see you laying down the 99 which you did so either way you suck out on him and win. i will give this more thoughts to if this was a donkey move or not but my first thought is no and you were pot commited.
