yes it is like a disiblity check that u get from them. but ur not disabled. your just bloated with a kid. lol i forgot what they gave my wife but they paid her for 8 weeks. did 2 weeks b4 she gave birth then 6 weeks after. her job allowed her to choose.

you know what know that i think about it my finace did the same thing but ours was a planned c- section so it made it a little more easier for planing purposes. i think they just sent one check though for every week.
