I have a new job

Yes, i decided to stop being a dick and get a real job. Whod have thunk it.

So, lets be honest (why not?)

Im going to use £££ not $$$, as thats what we use, to translte it multiply by 1.6, so £1 is $1.60, and £200 is $320.

My old bar job - 40 hours per week, £5.73 an hour + tips. Tips there sucked, so £230 a week after tax and insurance is about £175 ish. Take home there was £200 a week.

My new bar job - 20ish hours a week, £5.73 an hour + tips. So i got paid £120 a week with no tax or anything, as its under the threshhold. Tips for the weekdn were £100ish, so overall i made more doing this job. Odd

New job time!

I now work from 9am-5pm in an office.

I now work for google. As a google re-seller. We sell sponsored links on the site.

Say for example you own a website for your work, say your an electrician in LA. And its on page....5 of google for that search. I speak to you, organise a deal, we get you in the top 5 links on page ONE for that search. Simple.

As a bonus - you get 3 different keyword searches. So you can be on page 1 for electricians in LA, LA electricians, California electricians. Anything you want!

2 x 15min breaks, an hour for lunch.

Basic pay = £200 a week. Which sucks. However!

Commision! Each deal i make i get 20%. The current staff average 5 deals a week, for £2,000. Thats £400 a week commision.

Thats $1k a week. Not bad!

Plus theres no max commision. and the base wages go up.

So basically ive done this type of work before. I hated it after 6 months though. However there the commision sucked. Here its awesome. So can i get bored earning that much? Dunno, ill find out.

This job = paying for trip to Minnesota.

well everyone getting new jobs makes me want to go start searching again. i gave up after a few months but looks like i shuold hit the trail running again.

Wow awesome diggs Eej. Couldnt pick a better company to work for than google... lucky ur not in the US or youd be laid off, LOL. I saw an in-depth look at one of the google offices in the states, and man, i dont think that another company treats their employees as well as they do. Massage parlor, international cuisine, sleeping pods, free day care, and probably the best thing of all.... they have slides. They have slides to get from one floor to another.. i kid u not. So if this goes well... maybe a transfer to the states to work for that branch. I think it was in Minnesota :-p

Regardless congrats man. Something about a good 9 to 5 makes playing poker all the more profitable.

Only problem is that limits the NDNPT gaes i can play to 2 a week.

Sad.

BUT - ill still be able to come on every day and do what i do.
