Default Advice from NDNPT Game 24......

    Without naming people or anything....

Today a hand occured where a player called with no position or odds or anything really with A6. The origional raiser is tight/solid. So an opening range must be assumed that beats A6 by a whole lot.

The point is if i say anything constructive, im helping. Im not trying to make out im a genius at poker, but i do know all the maths behind it.

The same thing occured when calling further preflop raises or shoves by IMO the tightest player at the table with AJ and QJ.

If you wanna mess about then just do it, im all for that. Ive often gotten into bets with people and shoved blind for fun and whatever, but if your normal game involves these kinds of plays, then you will lose. It is a fact. You may get lucky sometimes, but over time, you will lose. It is undenyable.

The way you can then say "its all about who is head on the river" is just rubbish. Its another way of saying "Im here to gamble". Which is fine, as long as you know your doing it.

The reasoning people have for not reading anything is insane. "I play for fun", "I like A6", "It was suited" etc.

Then i got criticized for showing AK clubs to a 4x BB raise, and a caller.....

Can any single person say why my play was bad? I know both opponents, i knew what their ranges for their hands were. Kaci i had spot on, as targetguy will vouch, as on MSN i said "I bet she has AJ", and Navuta i had on AQ (he had AK off). So IMO my play was perfect. I got it in as a huge favourite, and i lose to AJ. Which is fine, it happens.

But in the end it all comes down to ego. You might think im arrogant with this post or what i said, but all i was doing was arguing as to why you should know your behind e.t.c, and if you can take what i say and turn it into something constructive, great!!!

Just look at some of the hand analysis threads. People post hands, it gets criticized or commented on by several people. The origional poster should then think, "hmm, i see what i did", and change it, and win more.

The difference between losing and winning is slim.

Im not gonna ask for backup, but i know at least 9 people on here who have improved dramatically from reading things myself, cowboy, and many MANY others have written.

So once again, ill say this - If your hving fun, awesome. Good for you. But why not have fun and win some money at the same time???

And as for criticizing my play, if you want to comment, make a thread about it. Maybe itll get some interesting discussion. If ive done something wrong ill be the first to learn from it.

I wasn't at the game and I didn't see the hand(s) so I can't really comment, but from what I'm reading I'm on eejit's side as usual for this.

But why does there have to be a reason.

I'm really just wanting to have and don't care if I lose or win.

I have a job and this isn't to become a second job for me so it doesn't matter to me, because it's within my budget.

Okay when you say you are not planning to name, names, and then do so by naming me and Navuta.

That makes no sense and it goes back on what you said from the very top.

Now on to the other stuff.

    I played the A6.

    I didn't think I was behind.

And that's because you've said on freerolls you've pushed all in with nothing and the first hand so I didn't know if I was behind or not.

    And I was suited.

Some people don't care if it's maths and purely think of this as entertainment.

I am one of them, and this is like going and spending money at the movies for me, it's no big deal, as long as I have fun.

I don't have a need to win, at all.

    I know I am gambling.

That's the rush of the game I like.

I just am not focused on winning so much as I am as having fun, so that's my reason.

And it's good enough for me, so no one else should really be worried about it.

    That's my opinion on it.

I also would not like to invest my money on someone who is just playing trying to have a good time and for not for winning...

I don't think it's appropriate for you to make this comment.

Obviously I have more respect for a stakers money than I will have for my own.

I think everyone does this though.

Trust me I've gotten staked in live tournaments and have won.

It's like if you have someone else's property, than you take care of that piece of property better than your own.

But I really don't think it's fair to me, or proper, and eejit you named me in the first thread, go back and look.

I'll quote if for you if you can't see it.

It's okay to admit you are wrong, but you never seem to do so.

Facts - I didnt name anyone when i criticized their play

Facts - Your A6 wasnt suited. You flopped 3 diamonds to go with your Ace of diamonds, i folded my AA to the reraise to my bet.

Facts - You didnt think you were behind?? This was 10-15 mins in. In chips game i play to win. Every time. Unless im shoving blind in which case you will know about it. What posible hand is A6 beating that i can raise with???

This thread is really negative to me, and I think ndn should close it because it's just not fair to me as a player and member of this forum!
