    Default Old Tom Watson???

I know there's not alot golf fans here, but nothing on Tom? This guy is 59 years old, and he had a 8 footer to win!!I know golf does'nt get alot play, like football or soccer.,I was in a tournament myself, only got to see the end of it.Did anyone here watch it? Give me some feedback peeps. What about 50-Cink winning that the OPEN? I did see a thread where Tiger missed the cut, but none on old Tom Watson, shame was quite a feat.

I was extremely sad that I was out of town and not able to watch the final two rounds.

If I had known Watson was going to continue the run at it, I honestly would have canceled my weekend vacation just to watch it.

I read an article somewhere yesterday that said Jack Nicklaus watched the entire thing on Sunday (something he claims to have never done before) just to root for his old friend.

I have the whole 7 hours of Sunday on my DVR.
I can make a copy for ya NDN.
I look forward to watching it too. I was at Cabin and only caught the last 2 holes myself.
Tom won in my book. He didn't need the 10 year exemption anyway.
The 18th hole, he needed par to win it. He had 186 to the hole with a 20 mile an hour wind behind him. He hits an 8 iron 15 feet below the hole, but it releases and rolls over the green. No one would think to hit a 9 iron from 186 down wind, but he should have. It was the best golf story I was witness to since 1986 when Jack won the Masters.

    Tom Watson is my hero.

Thanks freeringo, but I've managed to piece together the round with various clips on the internet.

My dvr is about 97% full so I didn't even bother setting a recording. I do usually record stuff like that though - Just in a rush and didn't want anything important to get deleted off the dvr!

Boy, it sounds like it's time for an upgrade to the new 500 hour DVR.

I have the 100 hours old one and find myself making room for new stuff all the time.

Dirty Sexy Money is back on. woof

I wasn't aware that there were bigger ones available. I just assumed I was stuck with whatever the cable company provides me.

    DISH Network - Receivers - 1.888.825.2557

I wanted one of these and my wife said "500 fn hours, it would take 2 years to scroll through 500 hours"

I am looking for a newer one.

Well just the fact that Jack watched the whole round is something special for Tom, do ya think Stewart Cink was really pulling for Tom? He and his family, may have been the only ones not or thats how I figured it.I do believe ND that this is a good thing for golf, what other major sport has 59 year olds competing? For a major title now.I think its great, with Lilred approaching 40 gives me some good vibes, thanks Mr. Watson.I do feel bad for ya but I think in the long run it will be a good thing.

I was really pulling for Watson to win. I still can't get over the fact that his playing partner on day one was forty-three years younger than he was. Watson will always be remembered for this all the same, a great capstone to a great career.

Working where I work has allowed me to meet lots of people. I think the best "meeting" was getting to run to Tom Watsons house one morning. Jack and Tom were at his house while waiting out a rain delay for a tournament here in KC. The way the story goes, Jack was cooking toast and had some trouble, which set off the alarm and got me called to the house. Tom Watson is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I've talked with him a few times in the local gas station, where he stops for coffee and the news paper.

I wish he would of sank the 8 footer to win the Open. Would of been a great day.

    Tom Watson is old.

I could beat him at scrabble, soccer, and squsah.

    Thats all!
